It's ironic how a player always ridiculed for his slow scoring rate and known by childish nicknames such as "Turtlepaul" happens to hold the record for the third fastest hundred in the history of test cricket ! I wonder where he ranks in the pantheon of West Indian batting greats ? Probably in the 2nd tier, along with Richardson, Hooper, Gomes, Adams. First tier being comprised of Lara, Weekes, Walcott, Headley, Haynes, Lloyd, Greenidge, Kanhai, Viv Richards etc. It's amazing how many great batsmen they have produced !! Link to comment
