Popular Post express bowling
We have won a test match against Australia on a fast, bouncy track, which was more like an Australian pitch. We defeated New Zealand on a green Eden Gardens pitch We won 2 tests in the West indies, along with the series, for the first time ever. We have 4 settled fast bowlers now in Shami, Umesh, Ishant and Bhuvi and a new pacer-all-rounder in Pandya. There are good young fast bowlers waiting in the wings .... in Aniket C, Thampi, Nathu, Aaron, Shardul, Navdeep, Khejroliya etc. Most of our batters are good at tackling pace and bounce now.... in Kohli, Rahane, Vijay, Rahul, Rohit. Even Pujara can play a lot of deliveries on bouncy tracks. We have found a new wrist spinner, Kuldeep, who can succeed outside Asia. Jadeja has become much better too. Main thing is.... our bowlers have been able to take 20 wickets most of the times we have played on non-spinning tracks. I think we are ready to win test series outside Asia. CG
Yes this team is building towards that. But still slip catching is a major area which needs improvement. Mosher 1 Link to comment
Vilander
Just want India to go to Aus and humiliate them more than anything else. Soorma_Bhopali 1 Link to comment
BCCI
Don't share your enthusiasm and optimism .Most probably will be walloped overseas again. Adi_91 and King Tendulkar 1 1 Link to comment
BeautifulGame
Thats stretching a lot.Yes it wasn't a typical Indian wkt still ,12 of the 20 wickets were taken by spinners. Link to comment
Adi_91
India still have some way to go before they can be considered as a serious side that can win overseas series. I think we should begin by working hard taking one overseas series as they come. Link to comment
OpeningBatsman
The thing is, after every home series, it looks hunky dory with many positives. But once we start touring, old issues resurface. Hopefully, this team can change that. Soorma_Bhopali 1 Link to comment
Cricketics
That is steppin way ahead. I think boys need rest and will have to start all over again when next test season comes around. I am not saying that they are not ready. We always had the batting to tackle the overseas conditions with Kohli-Pujara-Rahane and now some more players, it is just that we have to curb our enthusiasm after winning home season and take one series at a time and route our first overseas series which will be in Sri Lanka first. I think this team got in them to do well overseas and we will, but let's curb our enthusism a bit. We did not win on fast and bouncy pitches. We saw parts of it at times. We won at home. Yes, but there were 3 spinners too and only 2 fast bowlers who bowled only 44 overs in 2 innings and picked 8 wickets, spinners bowled 97 overs for their 12 wickets. Even after that, I would say this pitch had a lot for spinners and overseas, we wont get many such pitches in SA, England, NZ, SA, Aus that provide even this much to spinners. Pollack
But we only have Umesh. What if he is unfortunately injured.Shami is always unavailable. Don't tell me you are counting on Pandya or Ishant. Need few more reliable pace bowlers. Link to comment

kubrickian
Slip catching should improve. Need 2 more fast bowling options. Still havent found a good No.6 batsman. Beating Aus or SA in their home is as tough as beating India at home. But can definitely compete with our current team if they give their best effort. Link to comment
