During Post Match interview Ashwin said he has been struggling with sports hernia after England and it has affected him and he thanked support staff and medical team for helping him play through stating it too him one hour to just warm up.It seems As Ashwin is allrounder he is most important member of the side.

Kohli's injury probably could get worse or limited him if he played.Ashwin's is probably more managable with pain management with out long term harm to the body.

Two different type of injuries. Ashwin's is managable. Kohli's isn't. You can neither bat with injured shoulder nor field.

I think he mentioned his batting wasn't affected by it.

Not sure. I think during post match presentation, he mentioned he was at 50%. And that it would take couple of weeks to recuperate.
