Haven't read the article, but if the people are using voting in a referendum to end democracy, it is a rather strange situation. A democratic process to end democracy. Does this have a precedent? Turkey was a 'forced secular' nation. i.e., people were islamists at home, but secular outside, for the fear that the secular military + police will screw with them if they displayed their islamism.
