Texan Posted April 9, 2017 Share Posted April 9, 2017 As it is with the strategic timeouts, the bowling and batting side can take some time off to slow down proceedings. I think it would be more beneficial for the game and make it fair if these strategic timeouts could be substituted for reviews. Basically, teams should have both options. If they use up a review, they lose a strategic timeout and vice versa. That way, the game isn't delayed and teams have more flexibility about how to use up their time and also controversial decisions are eliminated. Call it Patanjali Review or something and show Baba Ramdev doing asanas while decision is pending. Can also go into a timeout for remaining time (timeout time minus time utilized by review).
