Cricketics Posted April 14, 2017 Share Posted April 14, 2017 Raina can hit from ball 1 unlike most players. What Kohli is to our 50 overs side, is what Raina is to our t20 side. Raina might not have numbers to show for 50overs to get a chance for CT for Indian team, but in general for Indian t20 team; there is no doubt that Raina seems to be our best finisher for India. When he batted for us in 50overs, he was really good at even no.3 until Kohli came and hit that great patch to replace him, but Raina continued to do the job at other slots and acted as a great finisher for the Indian team. His recent series against England showed how he is still the best player who can strike from ball 1. For t20s, I rate him a better finisher than anyone in the team. You can call him fat or whatever, but he is as valuable to our t20 as Kohli is to our 50 over squad. Raina can fit into any batting slot in the Indian t20 team and can score runs and strike from ball one. He doesn't waste deliveries like most players and ups the run rate most of the time.
