MS Dhoni Does Not Need To Prove Anything To Anyone: Shane Warne

Every Sportsman has to continually prove himself to everyone in any game he plays. all of us working in whatever jobs you are need to prove ourselves every year to keep our jobs. Unless you are Pappu people will ask questions of you.

Attitude like this is what led to so many of our seniors continually overstaying and prolonging their careers at the detriment of team.

If only physical shape was good enough to succeed, dravid would never have retired. We would have had fitness models playing cricket.

Geoff Boycott says 90% of playing cricket is down to mental strength. No point looking like Dwayne Johnson if hand-eye coordination/mental awareness is shot.

Dhoni may have the odd good innings here and there but he's already mentally checked into the retirement home.

You know for being the most successful captain of India, this guy gets a lot of sticks. Won us WC, T20WC, #1 in both test and ODI under him, if am not mistaken, we also won CT under him. Hell even won his team IPL aswell. Let him play IPL as he please. If the franchise chooses him, then they chose him.

I don't think people mind him playing IPL. He can continue to do so for many more years but he needs to be questioned on his contribution to the Indian team

The OP's post was related to IPL hence was defending his IPL status. Personally, in his current form, he does not deserve a spot in the ODI team. If he regains his form, fudge yea, he was definitely one of the best finisher of the game for sure. But age catches up at one poiint or not.
