Seriously....stabbed in tbe back by Bangladesh ?

These toygers have benefited so much from BCCI's generosity.  So many Asia cups and u-19 WCs, so many India ODI games hosted by BD.  And this is how they choose to return the favor.   And its not just BD.  Zim and WI are equally guilty.  Time for the 800 lb gorilla to show teeth.

Literally cannot stop laughing how ECB and CA have come out winners in BOTH the so-called big 3 changes and it's subsequent dismantling. In fact, now they have come out smelling like roses, having successfully painted BCCI as the villain.

True Machiavellians.

Rest of the minions like to lick their white masters boots and enjoy the crumbs thrown at them. That's how this happened.

Shashank has had a meeting with CoA already, and he probably conveyed it to his Master Giles Clarke that they are not likely to take any belligerent position. It's all been gamed, folks.

The levels of preparation on their side vs the BCCI are clearly visible.  The BCCI is in disarray due to its organizational overhaul in progress.

Frankly, I don't see other option than to opt out of CT at this point.  BCCI's best way forward was to get the changes re-negotiated with their involvement.   If they participate in CT, then they have to basically accept this 'take it or leave it' proposal, as is.

This fork in the road has come too close to the CT start date for BCCI to really push the opt out threat without actually doing so.   If they cave today, than the 'new' governance model basically ensures that the current 'big 2' will keep them tied down and cut to size within the ICC.

If this showdown had happened earlier - BCCI could have organized some alternative cricket content to directly compete with the Champions trophy - an IPL all-star week or an extended season.  That way, we could potentially have poached a dozen or so participants from other countries as well - that would have been a big enough threat to bring the ICC back in line.  Given the timeline now, the only leverage we have is opt-out.  Which is not ideal because the Indian TV channels and other financiers that the BCCI has a relationship with, will also take losses.

BCCI needs to go back to the drawing board, really study the legal fine print, and come back with a strong proper prepared response.   Problem is that who is going to do this? The 'CoA'?  Doubt it.

Pull out from ICC altogether. We'll see how long all the boards which voted against BCCI (barring Aus and Eng) will survive.

Lol.. not that easy..

IPL is big money earners for us.. ICC can trigger shutting down IPL in 2-3 years.

LOL. We Indians think we are intelligent bunch but there is a reason why white men ruled our land for so many years and still continue to trump us on many international issues and agreements. Just being good at maths and jugaad baazi doesn't make us smart.

so last 10 years were nothing?

Srini mama and company became too greedy and paid the price and BCCI is paying price now for that.. Otherwise, we did good capitalizing on India's cricket riches..
