Ram
BCCI will do what it has to do, extract maximum financial mileage from cricket, no one can blame them for that. Seeing all this over-load of cricket, I wont be surprised if the TRP rating begin to fall slightly. There is definitely too much cricket and advertisers wont get the same ROI they were previously used to.
arkay
IPL Team lineup Now that vvs, gangs and dravid are not in the ODI line-up, would they be part of IPL. It would be hypocritical on the part of BCCI to include them in IPL because they would certainly bring more crowd. On one hand, BCCI would preach about youngsters, reduction in the matches. On the other hand, they would make these folks play more odis in IPL.
The Outsider
I think there is a clause in IPL that the players would have to been retired for a certain time before they'll be included.
Guest Hiten.
I think there is a clause in IPL that the players would have to been retired for a certain time before they'll be included. arkay
The rules would be bent for Indian team as BCCI is the one who is making the rules. If BCCI clears them, they will play for IPL. If not, they can play for ICL. As simple as that. The 2 year rule is more applicable to other nations whose players may decide to hang their boots and play for IPL instead of their country. The Outsider
^ Ganguly and Dravid would never jeopardize their test careers to sign up for ICL. Both have got a good 2 years in them by the looks of it.
