And the big question-Does this guy really deserve to go to England? If he is in the team only for his valuable inputs that he gives to VK(Not denying it)...Better hire him as a consultant or a mentor.

This is the biggest question here. Frankly, RPS is a private enterprise and who they select or who they don't is their problem. India team selection matters and Dhoni on current form should not even qualify for a spot in the A team, forget the senior team. But MSK Prasad and his brigade just do not have the guts to drop a big name like MSD. They will just be pussy cats and select a "safe" team.

Let's not confuse formats here. On current form based on IPL there are others who wouldn't make ODI team as well.

Doesn't have the reflexes anymore to bat as he would want and hence stalls at critical junctures of matches.

He has past It, its time to enjoy his comics lol

his reflexes are still faster than cat .. did you watch his stumping last week ? :p:

Well he is not in the best of his form, which happens to every player and t20 doesnt give u much of time.

I dnt knw why we are going crazy as if it hasnt happened to other player. I remeber when sourav had a downfall the guy wasnt able to even touch the ball, Tendulkar dravid kept getting bowled.

He still hasnt be to horrendeous, the guys scored runs in his last series and was 2nd highest scorer in previous.

What all the fuzz about are others scoring 100 after 100 or due to him is someone like gilchrist or sanga is on bench.

We want to leave yuvi n dhoni out, so which leaves with kohli alone when it comes to help for captaincy. It very important to have exp players around for a captain. Then kohli isnt tactically that brilliant. Even wen all seniors lost place dhoni had troubles with his captaincy....

When a guy is struggling and if he is still winning a game or two here and well u shud stick to him. Most of all he hasnt become a liability in field which many becomes.

Lets not mix formats, if this IPL becomes a base well half of our senior team shud sit at home n many oldies shud return

The above all this rubbish is the frustration coming out from the op due to the disaster that his team is. :giggle: The only part worth replying is the one I quoted.

The op looks confused to not see the difference between a t20 tournament and an odi tournament. In the last odi series India played some 3 months ago MSD was the fourth highest aggregate scorer with a strike rate of 100 and average of 55.

OP is not confused , he got upset because of non-stop trolling in the WA group :p:

I know they are different formats.

But my point is that When he can't score runs against a weak bowling  attack in India with limited pressure then won't be long shot of you want him to score against quality international attack on English pitches and with a lot more pressure..

And the things you call Rubbish are all facts. Remove your fan goggles that had made you blind and look at it again.

if we go by the same logic and expand it little bigger , :rcb: should be kicked out of this IPL .. cant  score runs against a weak bowling  attack in India  with limited pressure :p:

Dhoni can still be pretty good in ODIs if he bats at 4 where he can take his time.

I don't think so. If we have a flying start he would suck the momentum with his lunges. This position is good for him but the best position is out of the team. :phehe:

Plus if any of Yuvraj or Kedar gets niggle, the replacement Manish Pandey(most likely) could not bat any lower than no 4.

BOLD 1 : Thats the irony here, He struggled against weak bowling and smashed two of top attacks . :cantstop:

ONLY batsman to hit bowler of the tournament Bhuvi for 19 in 1 over.

BOLD 2 : I feel the same but his record in england says different story :giggle:

BOLD 3 : Commiserations bro. There is always next year :nice:
