TNAmarkFrmIndia
RPS spent 14.5 crores on Ben Stokes. Obviously he has been one of the better performing million-dollar men in the history of the competition, performing with both bat and ball and winning three Man Of The Match awards in the process (and many say he should have won his fourth last night). Has he been worth the money or was it still a tad too much?

Sidhoni
Without a doubt, yes 4 match winning performances in the 9(?) matches he played. Only issue is he won't be there for playoffs.
Magneto
He has returned it with interest. Aur kya karega?
sscomp32
Only reason RPS are in playoffs is Stokes. He surely has justified his price.
bowl_out
Is there a chance Stokes will stick around for the playoffs as well? It is just a matter of 1 week
Ankit_sharma03
yes.....its not about the high money, HE didnt ask for it....its the need that fetch him such a high amount. He has done really well but having high expectation due to that price is wrong

It is just a matter of 1 week The remaining English cricketers have to return by May 14. They have been exempted from the Ireland series, but they’ll have to show up against South Africa which starts on May 24. Don’t see any of them playing a final on May 21 and return on May 22 for a match on the 24th.

speedheat
Yes... He has worth it, he is also one of the reason why rps is at no.2 now apart from smith(for his brilliant captaincy) tripathi and unadkat. No wonder he considered a world class A/R, one who can be selected both as a pure batsman and bowler Gollum

He admitted himself that his bowling has improved a lot working with RPS bowling coach Eric Simmons.

Yes, that’s the reason Stokes, Buttler and Woakes have been left out from the side that plays Ireland, whereas Billings, Morgan and Roy has been asked to play for England. Now, Billings and Roy have to stay back in England post the Ireland matches to take part in camp/practice matches or whatever there is. So since the match practice part has been taken care of, they would surely want him to get some rest after a gruelling IPL schedule. Stokes both bats and bowls, and had an injury too; so he should need a week’s rest before playing a team like South Africa in an international. Maybe Stokes wants to play the playoffs and will request ECB to allow him to stay on in India till then.
