Facts versus fiction, stats don't lie, doodh ka doodh

Recommended Posts

Well we certainly know fans support their teams or their players, some are die hard Sachin fans, some Dhoni, some Virat n that is healthy, but then we have people who make ridiculous statements n can't back it up with facts n figures so this is the thread where we will see who makes those n who can back it up with facts or dismiss those n who will be the winner in making ridiculous claims

2. Dhoni was a great test captain

3. Kohli is a complete batsman

4. Dravid was master of tough conditions

Kohli has a splendid n amazing record as test captain in last two years, Dhoni has a dismal record after the big 3 n Zak retired so n facts prove that

I am a Dhoni fan too but the reality is he is done.

There are 3 wicketkeepes who are better than him in current form.

Dhoni will fail this CT.

He will cause India not to advance to the next stage.

Will fail as a bat but still a good keeper.

Kohli will have to born again to be as good of a captain as Dhoni in any form of cricket. Dhoni is totally in a different league.

He shouldn't be compared with someone who loses his composure and acts like a mindless chicken on the cricket field.

Once again just stating things counter to facts n figures, whereas Kohli has an exceptional record , Dhoni has a very poor one in test especially last 4 years of his captaincy

First let kohli win a test series in Newzealand, win an odi series in Australia, win a World Cup in South Africa, win a champions trophy in England, Draw a test series in South Africa. Then we will talk.

The comparison between kohli and Dhoni as the captain of the Indian team is so absurd that don't even wanna talk about it. Kohli Is a nobody infront of dhoni.

Once again we r talking test n you r being ignorant, n bringing t20 n odi.

Stats dont lie and looking at the stats carefully I can draw few conclusions.

(1) Dhoni will fail.

(2) Rohit will fail.

(3) Yuvraj will fail.

(4) Bowling will be fine.

(5) Indian may not make to semis.

I agree with most, selectors are not tuned to modern ODi, n Dhoni, Yuvi are past sell by date n Rahane is hopeless in shorter format.

Rohit has problems with moving ball but on his day n if conditions suit him he will score big, this is a hopeless team except for bowling, particular pacers also K Yadav should be in squad, India will not make it past Q/F or S/F.

Indian ODI squad needs a revamp as taking 30 balls to score 15 runs n then trying to make up in last 5 overs if you aren't out doesn't work with the current way teams like Aus, SA, Eng are playing, you need to be aggressive n maintain higher S/R from beginning, so Dhoni, Yuvi, Rahane are a liability, as T20 is being played more like t20 these days n 300 to 360 range score are common whereas Indian selectors are still stuck in 1980 mode

Fiction - raina is not a good player.

Fact- anyone who avrgs 35 with strike rate of 90+ is invaluable to the team.

Especially when the said player bats at 5, 6 or 7 and has lost his wkt going for quick runs. A true team man and one of the best fielders to boot. He and Pant should've been picked ahead of Rahane and Yuvraj for CT.

Yes. Even a fat raina is still a better fielder than many. He is the ultimate team man. Never complains. Never plays for his own score. We are wasting him.
