Best Left-arm Spinner / Allrounder for T20s

In my opinion Krunal should be ahead of the rest. Decent left arm spin, can be pretty economical. Much better batsman than all other contenders.

Not sure why we keep picking Jadeja for T20s. Can hardly hit a six, just potters around mostly with the bat.SR below 90, avg below 9 and has hit a grand total of 1 six in 39 T20Is.

Jadejas fielding is above all others combined. Krunal has the edge in batting. Tbh negi is the best bowling wise. Axar is good both ways. Can hit quickly and finish off matches. And bowls economically with odd wicket taking ball.

Agree on the fielding, but I don't think Krunal is a bad fielder either. Also, from evidence of what we saw today, Krunal seems like a big match player.

Krunal dropped a dolly, even if it was under pressure, I doubt Jadeja would drop that. His two final over run outs under pressure being example. He should make the team based on fielding alone. You can keep krunal for batting but see how he performs overseas in different conditions against pacers.

Well, Jadeja might take that catch, but pretty sure wouldn't play the kind of innings that Krunal played that actually turned out to be match-winning. Just hitting 2 sixes in a match seems beyond him considering he has only hit one six in his entire career so far.

Generally, there is only one place for a left-arm spin all-rounder, so my first pick on current form would be Krunal. If there is a spot for another, then Jadeja or Axar can play. Even Axar is a better six hitter than Jadeja.

Since its for t20s, Krunal can be tried ahead but I still have doubts on how he'll perform overseas. Axar Patel needs to prove he can perform intlly as he's already failed in the past.

Jadeja still ahead. Krunal needs to up his bowling and fielding but needs to be played in a few series :agree:

His bowling isn't that bad. His ER was under 7 this year, improvement from last year. Jadeja bowling has got progressively worse every year - this year averaging almost 70 at ER over 9.

Cannot assume failure here as he hasn't shown any obvious weaknesses. Axar is a slogger, while Krunal can be a proper batsman.

A guy like Jadeja would've been useful for Pune's type of situation. He does well usually agains slow bowlers and in slow wickets. He would've been perfect for 11 off 6 and wouldn't have choked. I recall in 2013-2014 ipl where csk faced a similar situation to what Pune faced in a pitch which was slower than today's. Csk needed 130 odd and Hussey played an innings similar to smith and Dhoni didn't fire. Csk still needed 30-40 in 4 overs. Jadeja came and smashed KKR bowling attack and thrashed marine. He ended up scoring 39 off 10 or 13 balls.

He can make it for batting alone then. For overseas India cannot have him as an all rounder because they need a seam all rounder, and they cannot play him as the sole spinner because he's a part timer, they need only 1 specialist spinner. For home and sc he can be tried as an all rounder.

Jadeja has missed direct hits and fumbled under pressure. People are beginning to think him as superman and someone who never misfields or drops catches at all. Jadeja is a much better fielder but just because Krunal dropped a catch today doesn't make him bad fielder under pressure. Both Pandya Bros are good fielders.

Jadeja have been poor in t20.....so he shud stick to odi n test only

Krunal is ecnomical n match winner with bat to. Including him can give u many options. Have him at 6 n we can play kuldeep n chahal as 2 spinners + bhuvi bumrah n hardik. Thats a very good bolwing lineup. Thats an attack witg very good variety and effectivness

Axar can be a backup to jadeja in odi and can be an option as bowler.

Negi is long way behind.
