Naxalism needs to be fought and won in Delhi

We need to work towards equitable distribution of wealth. While providing jobs to masses should be the priority, it is highly unlikely to be achieved...if you want to understand the sympathy for left-ism, naxalism, for parties like AAP, you need to see the number of people living on the margins. See the injustice n exploitation that happens in society with the poor. See the conditions in which they live.

So implement universal basic income asap, give whatever, 8k-10k Rs. (It's a small sum, won't cause inflation) Per annum to every unemployed adult who wishes to avail. You will defeat naxalism, leftism.

Imagine that your mom dad are poor and diseased(sorry for making u imagine), can't afford Medicare, you couldn't go to school, can't find a job, have a sister who u must marry off, have a loan to pay off but no money, you are a beldar, no security of finding daily work, exploited by ur employer whenever u find a day's work, in such scenarios, it's not unlikely that you would become a criminal.

It's Govt's primary responsibility to take care of such people.

Ignoring the ridiculous attempt at explaining cause and effect, you still haven't explained what naxalism has got to do with poverty?

Equitable distribution to some extent is ok. But people need to responsible for their own action. I have a mason working in my house. He has only 1 son 9-10 year old , he is very good in study. his both parents work as construction workers.on the other hand I meet laboureres carpenters who has 4 kids in their village. Now obviously if things will go right then the mason's son will earn more than labourers , carpenters 4-5 kids which are in villages and barely get any education

Do you think it is ok to take wealth from people who did not reproduce like rabbits , did not spend it on intoxicants and give them who foolishly produce children or take intoxicants

It all orinitaed during Indiraji's period when exceptionally poor and simple villagers got trampled by interest of Indian aristocracy. However, Its about time they give up those ideals as present government have a lot of people who came from similar background.

IMO a amnesty be given and Naxals surrender without pre conditions and government be soft on them. I am sure some Naxal leaders wont mind staying in prison for crimes they have already committed.

A minimum sum should be fine sirji...that's the call all over the world. That would provide basic security and basic level of honor in living - say 8k-10k(based on  rural or urban area) per year or whatever sum you can come up with. Take away some/most other subsidies if needed. Put conditions that you feel like - such as annual salary less than x, bank balance less than y etc. Make authentication mandatory via Aadhar....

It all started due to inequitable distribution of wealth and development, due to exploitation and injustice. We can't escape what our leaders did in the past.

If the Government is offering Basic Income,  then could provisions be made where the biggest beneficiaries can be sterilized after having a fixed number of kids so that they don't continue to pop up further and thereby increasing the burden on society?

Surely if the Government provides basic income it has the right to demand several control measures from the beneficiaries.

I think a lot of icfers come from urban or semi urban background. Ground reality is that there are various places where message and affordabilty of family planning hasnt reached. Police and admin dont play no role in providing safety and security of a villager. Social security and home boundries are still dependent on number of sons a villager has.  So Long way to go.

MNEGA was and is one of the most commendable thing from Congress Government. But It was/is fraught with corruption. My close Friends are civil servants and they do say that its very difficult to root out corruption in MNREGA as it has brought Corruption at grassroot level. What i know from personnel experience is that Village bahubali aka Gram Pradhan/Panchayatand Government employees all take a cut while no work is done at grassroot level to show it. If a government employees tries to be honest the Bahubali come in number with Sticks. Police gets outnumbered instantly in this case.

Here Madhu Kishwar trying to talk sense to couple of fat illiterate jhollawallas at congitimes.

Anyways, as Madhu Kishwar quite clearly points out, if the neglect of the state is the "primary" factor for naxalism, then entire India should have been burning for the last 70 years.

Nothing new in the videos but we need to understand that Naxalism as a security problem can be tackled within a month, if Govt gives the green signal. Problem is that the head of the snake lies elsewhere - Delhi. And it doesn't just exist in the JNU/DU but the NGOs stationed there, tv studios, many politicians, Judges, lawyers. And that is major reason why the govt isnt fully committing to action against naxals.

Remember the Binayak Sen drama when even Europeans descended on the Supreme court? This cabal is a hydra like monster.

Actually, some economists are proposing to a basic minimum salary if Goverments makes saving by giving away with various subsidies. Only issue I see is subsidies make manufacturing economical.
