I was referring to Dhoni owning shares of Rhiti sports while being captain which Guha has raised.

Should have mentioned it properly then.

P.S. COmpletely disagree with your view point in any case.

Cos members of CoA have nothing to loose. They cause the fire, sell BCCI and feed on fan frustration while walk away and its impossible to prove if they got any cut from Manohar and Co.

Letter personally written to please people like you by one of you people:giggle:

Like I said that so called csk and rhiti sports players are still playing in that indian squad in tests and loi

According to him tests is everything... usual 80s mindset which will please uncles and grandpas..  Reality is you can't spread the game with people like this in charge lol glad he is gone or thrown out what ever happened..

Players should have a say in coach but not defacto power. They should not dictate the coach. Don't know why players and captain kohli is defended here. If they have their way they want a dummy like Manmohan Singh to coach while they enjoy their freedom. Wait it already happened with Duncan Fletcher. Now they smelt the blood and want it to continue that way. :phehe:

It's a sport not corporate world. These players maybe employees but they hold supreme power. Just look at footballers as well. That's reality of the game.

Also, had it been just a Kohli vs Kumble issue, then some discussion/debate makes sense. But the reality is many players are unhappy with the coach, so coach is the problem and no debate here.

Reality is Tests are on their way out and are being subsidised by shorter formats. Give it a few more years and Tests will be finished. Every sport evolves over time and the days of a sport (or format of a sport) which takes 5 days to play and yet end in a 'No Result' are over.

We can judge on what we know. Read articles -- India players reportedly 'intimidated' by coach Kumble

T20s is only format that can be used to spread the game around ... No one has time to sit down 6 to 7 hrs and watch Odis as well leaving out those 8-9 regular countries... People ll laugh at you when you say Tests will be used to spread the game of cricket...people in  US and Europe rather watch paint dry than that.

This guy is totally out of touch looks like he was kicked out more than resign.

Kohli knows he messed up with Pujara and i doubt he would ever remove pujara for his best friend rohit aka  maggi sharma...

It always amazes me that old timers are so rigid in their views they can only have one definition of "skill". You would expect that these people have been around for ages so should be more broad minded and liberal in their outlook but it's the other way around! I mean yes a 500 ball 180 takes skill and temperament but so does scoring a 40 ball 100 in T20s or gunning down a target of 320 when the Reqd Run Rate was hovering 7+ most of the chase. It takes a lot of skill to keep the strike rotating and then change gears when required.

If these "skills" needed for shorter formats are not really "skills" and Tests is all which matters and anybody can do that then why exactly do likes of Pujara, Rahane, Murali Vijay not able to cut it in shorter formats? The sort of mental toughness needed to shore a chase in shorter formats is every bit as much a skill as blocking balls after balls in Tests. Earlier a different "skill set" was in demand and with time the skill sets needed now have changed. But unfortunately folks like Guha are so rigid in their views, which is ironical, that they can't see or understand it.

Seems like he wants communism. Players are currently paid by market demand and rightly so. No reason for administrators to intervene and provide lesser players with additional "undeserved" money.

Similarly, the high marketed players & coaches should not keep demanding more money. To see a Kumble tell more fees needs to be given to him, is disgraceful.

I think Kumble lobbied for everyone from players/coaches to be paid a bigger slice of BCCI pie, not just for himself . Also wasnt Kumble nominated to propose on behalf of players/coaching staff by someone in COA?

who is being greedy according to this ? http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/story/1090181.html

On the other part of the world you have got Australian players who are fighting for their rightful wages, and here we are kicking our very own for wanting to bring changes to this corrupt administration.

BCCI need a thorough cleansing both on and off the field. It seems some fans need it as well.
