No urgency in middle overs

Batsmen have to accelerate a lot more in the middle overs and shouldnt wait till the death overs. This will make a huge difference to the total on the batting pitches in England. Even 350 is quite chaseable on some of these grounds and 320 is a below par score.

 

Dhawan and Yuvi slowed down the run rate considerably against Sri Lanka. Perhaps, promoting Kedhar Jadhav up the order may help in the coming matches.

Jadhav is the answer. I have said before, he is the ideal guy to get that urgency in middle order without taking much risks.

They're hellbent on making Jadhav a No. 6, but the guy is more suited for No. 4. He'd keep the scoreboard ticking in the middle overs without taking much risk.
