I won't point fingers at one player but our batting approach is outdated. Building a slow and solid platform and then launching towards the backend of the innings is no longer a viable strategy. Yeah, it'll pay off against a team like Pakistan but it'll backfire against teams like Aus and Eng.

 

Teams like Aus, Eng would have scored at least 350 on this patta had they batted first. We were extremely slow during the middle overs.

Rubbish half trackers of Pandya and some toothless 'spin' bowling of Jadeja in the middle overs. These 2 leaked just too many runs in the middle overs.
