Should Kedar Jadhav be sent up the order?

Considering Yuvraj can be hot or cold on any given day and Dhoni's initial slow-scoring tactics end up hurting the team, do you think the management should send Kedar Jadhav up the order to try and give the innings the impetus it needs? This could be useful especially if we're batting first and have no target in front of us. Kedar has a solid record playing at No. 4 or 5 in one dayers and almost always scores at a brisk rate irrespective of the situation during which he comes in.

There are reports that Kedhar would be dropped today, but I think he should be promoted to bat at no 4.

He can change the complexion of the game with his quick scoring.

Yuvraj is far bigger impact player than Kedar will ever be. He can't bat like Yuvraj can and what big hitting are you people talking about. He isn't a big hitter by any means.

Kedar can play the unconventional shots that others do not play in this line up. Most of them just wait for a ball that is in their slot.

Kedar's natural batting position is no.4 

But to accommodate Yuvraj and dhoni he has been pushed below and completely wasted. Yet again unfair to Kedar.

jadhav main issue is his fielding and fitness . I think he is resisting fitness regime . Not doing himself any favours

Jadhav should be dropped because of his atrocious fielding. Even Ash and Bumrah at least take their catches and don't leak boundaries every innings. But is he has to play, surely he must come at number 4.

The only issue is his fitness. Can he sustain for long periods of running with his recurrent hamstring injury?

Monitor his fitness and play him at 4/5 with the assumption that he is fit. Not only is he more valuable to the team at that position than at 6/7 but also the team right now needs a player like him batting higher up.

 

He seems to have worked on his fitness. Not only does it look like he has lost a few kilos but he was also quicker between the wickets than he used to be. Didn't seem to tire out over the course of the innings either.

Hopefully they continue with Dhoni and Kedar at 4 and 5 in New Zealand and Rayudu doesn't get a run again.

Imagine if Kedar Jadhav had been given a consistent run at No. 4 since 2017.

 

Yet people like @rkt.india would rather have had has-beens like Yuvraj.

He's only played 4 matches at that position. I think he's the best guy to play there right now if you want to keep the likes of Rayudu and Dhoni in the XI. He's played a couple of innings where he's pretty much had to play a No. 4 role while batting at 6 and helped India win or come close.

not at all the best guy, every time he has been sent up the order has looked out of place

We have so many talented batsman he cnt be the best choice at number 4.....he is best at 6 only
