Suggest me a new mobile phone, budget INR 40,000

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I have 4 options -

1. Samsung S7 Edge - 41k (after 10k cashback)

+ Stellar Display, Great Camera, Stunning design, Water Proof

- Lack of screen protectors, Slippery

2. Samsung S8 - 39k from Dubai

+ Gorgeous design, Super smooth, Best display ever, great camera, compact form factor for 5.8" screen

- Not local warranty, prone to screen shatter all glass built

3. L.G. G6 - 35k local

+ Affordable for a flagship, Quad DAC, Wide angle camera feature

- Poor Selfie camera, L.G. UI is cartoonish, screen is not great

4. OnePlus 5 - 33k/38k

+ Leading specs, great 16MP selfie camera, bloatfree software

- resembles IP7+, No OIS in 4k video, 1080p display, no waterproofing, no expandable storage, concerns about after sales service

Which one do you suggest ?

If you can get the S8 from Dubai, then you could also get the other phones(except 6) from Dubai?

Yes, I am open to buy from both Dubai and Malaysia. I regularly travel outside India.

iPhone 6s or 7

IP 7 32GB is 40k after cashback and its within my budget, but I don't want it for low storage, single SIM and big footprint for mere 4.7" screen, those bezels are bigger than on my new 4k TV. 6s is outdated when IP 8 is about to release.

iPhone is best. If not from your list, you should go for OnePlus 5 , or Oppo R11 if you want little cheaper....

I don't want the iPhone. I guess I will bite the bullet and get S8 from Dubai.

I have no idea what is a farmers phone .   I have no clue whether that is meant to be an insult or demeaning.  But Samsung makes some amazing Phones and S7 is a damn good phone

I have no idea what are you talking about.  Put some logic in your posts.    I have no idea what you mean by a farmer or who's a farmer or when did I farm or what farmers are using what phone and why does that matter to you . stop posting rubbish

How about nexus? Well I am a farmer originally from hindustan ;)

I'v used the Nexus , I had issues with the charging port - They do make good phones but not much of a difference from year to next.

any stock android phone is good .. i used nexus for app development

but current pixel phones are expensvie considering they dont have any additonal cost of developemnt related to customizing like samsung does

one issue with samsung phoes are unnecessary imitation  samsung apps for the same google apps ..at any point of time there will be 450/500 processes will be running in the background doing unnecessary jobs

Currently using a nexus 6p. Great phone but battery life decreasing now. They are using USB - C ports now.

Mine was a Nexus 5 I believe , yeah in second year of my phone the battery capacity went down as well.

I've had charging port issues with HTC M8 as well.

Atleast with S7 I can put it on the charging mat if anything goes wrong
