Highest Level Played: Inter-College

Role: All Rounder

Batting: Opening bat. Very reliable and long innings batter. Did not have lot of big shots, more of a steady accumulator. Very good with left alone, cover driving, leg glance and inside out shots. Good on the front foot, not so on the back foot. Not good at pulling/hooking. Stronger on the off-side compared to leg. Weak at handling short pitched bowling and strong at handling good length and full length bowling.

Bowling: First change bowler. Medium pacer. Occasional spin bowler (both leg spin and off spin). Had pretty good control.

Fielding: Loved fielding. Many times used to field for both the teams (mine and opposition). Was among the best around. Favourite fielding positions were point and cover.

Highest level - Inter-College

Batting - Accumulator who cud smash spinners at will, much like misbah . As my teams started getting weeker i became more of a defensive batsman and right at the end of the college got a good team and turned into a mindless slogger which didnt work out. Straight drive n Flick were my fav shots to fast bowlers. The biggest pleasure was to step down n smash a spinner. Intially had good cut n pull but changing my stance to chanderpaul one did affect those 2 shots. One shot i cudnt play was sweep.

Bowling- Use to love bowling fast and was quite fast till school. Pace got down in college so started bowling all types of bowling whatever came out right on that day. Could bowl off spin and kumble type of leg spin . Biggest weekness as fast bowler for many years was the love for yorker and i use to try bowl 6 out of 6 yorker....means the day i got it right i won games and the day i didnt opp won games. Use to love bowling round the wkt and hated bowling over the wkt. Stopped from bowling many times due to bowling beamers:alienbooty:

Fielding- Loved diving around, ok ok catcher but Enjoyed Wk most. Very safe keeper.  Goalkeeper turned into wicket keeper. Ask anyday ill prefer to be wicket keeper then fielder as it was the best place to study batsman footwork n plan specially when ur captain

Nice thread for a change maniac.

Highest level : Club level, intra city

Batting : Probably amongst millions of other Indians who feel the same way but I think I had some talent. At least to make it to intra state and then take it from there. Obviously parents weren't supportive.

Right handed bat. Very wristy, touch player, that sort. Never had a lot of power to slog so relied on timing. Batted mostly in the middle order.

Bowling : Right arm med fast. Very ordinary, nothing special. I did have a nice yorker and some swing but lacked accuracy and pace.

Fielding : Mostly good but made some blunders here and there :p:

All Rounder

Highest Level Played :

University level

Batting :

Middle order solid batsman, like Inzy, Miandad, Bevan. A good match finisher, fight till the end, a very wristy cricket player, good at cut shots, mostly scores in 4s, sometimes in 6s. my highest score was 152.

Bowling :

Right-Arm Fast bowler, mostly swngs from new ball, took many wickets, my best was 6/24 , including a match winning Hat-trick , took 4 wickets in 4 balls in last over and won the match by 5 runs for my team.

Fielding :

Average fielder .....

Galli Mohalla/ground Tape-ball cricket:

- not a very dependable batsman, will mostly just rotate the strike along occasional 4s, may or may not perform while all-hitting...

- decent right-arm pace bowling, v good accurate yorkers ;) team can depend to defend a small total in last over... hardly ever bowls wide, over-stepping no-balls been an issue though... (reasonable spin bowling too which is quite rare with tape ball)

- very poor fielder... always 50/50 while taking a catch, however quite accurate through ;)

Currently playing in cricket leagues all around USA.

I am mainly a medium-fast bowler(you can call me a trundler too). I am around 80-84 miles these days, at times could be more but I haven't been clocked recently or really checked the speed in a while, so not sure.

Former Captain of Montgomery College Cricket team.

I have been a 12th man or no.11 batsman a lot for my clubs in the last 10 years. Have carried drinks a lot as a 12th man and that gave me good lesson to improve my game way early in my career. I have moved higher in ranks and become a better bat and still working hard in the nets and getting better at batting. However, I haven't stopped concentrating on my bowling. I am still a bowler who gives it all and that is what I love to do the most, just to get out there on 22 yards and just bowl fast and concentrate on the line and length.

Currently, I am still trying to chase my dream to play for USA as Bowler who can bat.
