Like any self respecting municipal organization, BMC decides to make a parody video themselves. You can watch it here. If that were not enough the Yuva Sena threaten RJ Malishka and her radio channel with a 500cr defamation suit. What is with this 500 cr as an amount anyways? Zakir Naik filed a 500 cr defemation case against Arnab too. And for good measure, the BMC also sent a notice to Malishka for mosquito breeding in her flat. While the Eastern and Western Express highways aren't the BMC's look out, all other major roads are. Instead of doing their job, the BMC is on a witch hunt here. As far as water logging goes and pot holed roads, a budget of 26k crore is not going to be enough to fully maintain a city of 13 million. On a per capita basis its not going to provide the amenities people expect the body to provide. This shortage of money is made worse by the scams within the body. Not just mumbai same case exists in Bangalore.Even if the most efficient administrator comes to power who is straight as an arrow I feel the bigger issue is lack of revenues This is a problem india faces as a whole. From Shashi Tharoor's cattle class remark(he had to resign from ministry over that LOL) to this parody video, same story rinse and repeat. I support Malishka wholeheartedly even though I couldn't understand the lyrics. Shame on SS goons. Shame on we Indian fools who had great comedians like Tenali Raman, Birbal, Gopal Bhar amidst us some time back but today are so sensitive w.r.t jokes aimed at us. This is not a SS/BJP/Congress/TMC trait, this is a pan Indian trait only getting worse every passing day. For Mumbaikars whining about the shortfalls in your city same is true in Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad etc, if that makes you feel any better !!! None of our cities are even remotely close to Colombo, forget the developed world. Frightening part is by 2050, 70% of our population will live in urban areas. We are doomed.
