If they can get AIADMK and BJD (21 seats for these 2 combined) in their corner, BJP can get consitutional amendments passed before 2019 as well. BJP will gain 18 over next 1.5 yrs.

85+21+18 = 124 VOILA!!!!

RS support has to be primary thing that Amit Shah must have asked in return (I hope).

It may be tough to get BJD as the BJP is encroaching on their territory in Orissa.

I wonder what JDU fans feel about this. What exactly has changed between the 2014 elections and now? JDU broke off an alliance in center and state before the lok sabha elections, forged an alliance with their sworn enemies in state elections, and, after all that, they return to their original alliance from before the national elections.

It shows how shallow ideologically these political parties in India are.

BJP should not have supported Nitish at this time. Let the government fall and let there be elections BJP should contest on their own, let JDU contest on their own and RJD/Congress combine. With all the instability around the Mahagathbandhan, BJP likely would get a majority. Then they can become the dominant party in Bihar rather than piggybacking on Nitish Kumar.

The iron is hot now. Time to strike. Big mistake by BJP not to strike now. They made the same mistake with Delhi assembly elections and paid the price.

BJP has nothing to gain in reelection. They would still be number 3 party in VS. LS is different.

Nominated+Independents then. Regardless, We are getting close. RTE+370+land+labour+civil code - Can all be done in next 2 yrs. This is huge.

The main issue is still timing. Why JDU remained silent for 2 years from 2015? And why did Nitish suddenly wake-up now only 2 years from 2019? Nitish doesnt gain anything by being with NDA today, same case for NDA. No gain both sides.

And then another point is JDU at center, how strongly will they support the government? Are they comitted in running together in 2019 LS?

bhai open any youtube video on this issue and read the comments by Muslim folks...they are pissed at Nitish

You can understand their pain. 5 hours ago, Nitish was very secular and righteous person.

No. They have a very good chance of becoming the number 1 party in assembly with JDU divided from RJD/Cong. Bihar people would want a stable govt. But they have to strike now.

BJD support would be easy for BJP if they cut back their campaign in Orissa, or forge some sort of seat sharing agreement with Patnaik.

Completely agree. Madness to join hands with the traitor. Call for fresh elections and see BJP get a sweeping majority. Join hands with Kumar and be the perennial bridesmaid in Bihar. Choice is simple for Modi-Shah.

Wrong. RJD still has its votebank + complete shift of Muslim voters to them. And now Nitish is number 1 leader there. There arent any local BJP leader to match him....

I think they've come to a compromise. Must remember that JD(U) stood by BJP through 2002 fiasco. They may have invoked some goodwill from that. Same reason why they still stand by Akali Dal.
