pnimesh1955
Well some folks mention of A Mukund regarding his skin '' he was ignores as opener by BCCI '' even he performs well with 82 vs better bowling during opening test.K.Rahul who recently hits 6th Fifty in a row to equal G.R.Vishwanath's record in test matches was take over instead A.Mukund. I think its Harsh many people in India thinks F Fazal of U. P. came in the Indian team because of Manoher of BCCI but he deserves more chance as opener too.Under Rahane in Zimbabwe he scored two scores of 50 in his début ODI, how one can forget his 127 for ROI vs Mumbai in IRANI trophy final, he was hero during 482 runs successfully chased on day 5 in the 4th innings (4th day some target achieved) Mumbai beaten after scoring 603 in the first innings. Fazal prolific scorer in Rahji trophy since so many seasons in First class cricket.BCCI should inspires player like Him,Mukund and Nadeem. Edited August 15, 2017 by pnimesh1955 Link to comment
sandeep
Fazal is an also-ran middling performer. He was lucky to get the India cap when he did. He's not even in the top batsmen waiting in the wings to play for India. Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Karun Nair, are all ahead of him. By yards. express bowling 1 Link to comment
pnimesh1955
Fazal is specialist opening batsman, all 3 above often failed as opener.Iyer I think good at 3 so is Nair and Manish too good at 4. I think Nair's batting Average was 9.5 during last ind A team visits out side India, yet he was selected again instead BCCI give chance to someone who more deserves, Look What BCCI did to our Priyank Panchal, he was not even given chance vs AFG.A Link to comment
pnimesh1955
Fazal at near 32 perfect for opener slot with near 6000 runs and near 100 catches in FC. He was the only Indian player without IPL CONTRACT and début for India (ODI)at thirties of age In last 16 years. His Debut First class he hits 151*, his début innings for India away from India he hits 55* His best in FC 200*.well dose not make sense to say more about him as everything control In India what BCCI plan from- team to umpires and ticket profits. pnimesh1955
What one can say about Freaking BCCI, 10000 people (in India) do not even know ISHANT SHARMA was in the Indian team which India won 3/0. Why he was there? now they will let him go without any reasons. BCCI do not wants GURUKEERAT SINGH MANN so they kept him in the Indian team for 8 weeks and Dropped him without even give him chance (he supposed to release for Punjab ranji trophy matches but was not release till Anurag's brother helped him get out from dressing room ) Can I call priyank Panchal in Pretoria what's going on ? Domestic numbers are not all created equal. Lot of statistics in India FC are padded due to conditions and level of opponents. This is why Pujara took a long time to break into the Indian team even as he was constantly dropping double and triple centuries. Fazal or any other domestic run machine has to do it against the top teams. Scoring centuries against the likes of Tripura, Services, Railways, Goa, J&K etc doesn't mean jack-****. Oh and his debut 55* for India away from home was against that cricketing powermouse Zimbabwe. But don't let facts stand in the way of your rant. Keep at it. Link to comment

Even Panchal so far, is a one season wonder. Sure he should have played in the latest 4 day game against SA instead of the likes of Samarth or Sudip Chaterjee - who clearly is a quota pick. But overall the squad is mostly the top deserving talents. Link to comment

He had a very good domestic season in the lead-up to that Zim tour. And we have been using the Zim tour as an A tour for the last few years. Nothing wrong with that policy - you have to incentivize competition and performances in domestic cricket. Not all future India players are going to come through the IPL. Link to comment

Think he has turned out for the A team Hes 33, Average of "just" 41 in FC cricket. So he's not an obvious candidate but those pundits whose tweets I've posted clearly rate him. Link to comment
