For people wondering why I made the latter statement: it is the first time India has scored more than run a ball in an ODI innings at the end of a complete team innings. Since we were chasing, it was not 300+ by the end of play. (India had to wait for one more year for its first 300+.) Edited August 16, 2017 by sarcastic Link to comment
Soorma_Bhopali
Yes ..but it came much later for me ..while in college ..my earliest memories of watching cricket on TV are India-Pakistan test series match in 1983 , India-WI series in 1983-84 and India-England Test series in 1984. Earliest memories of watching on cable are 1992 world cup in Australia and NZ . Link to comment
CoverDrive
Not watched it but this innings created a lot of buzz around in newspapers etc. IT was a big moment in indian cricket and everyone was quite aware that something special had happened. Link to comment
