Soon she ll hate on Kohli as well for breaking that all time 100s that was made for the team compared to the once  that old  49 Odis 100s that he made for himself and not the team. How many matches did he cost India with his tuk tuk 100s.. God knows

Well he was GoD but TUK TUK not true because 28 times in all international ( test plus ODI for India) he was out in 90-99

ODI rules now more helpful for batsman than SRT's time regarding certain Fielder restrictions plus

Clearly the Rahul experiment is not working , its not easy to turn a specialist opener into a middle order batsmen .

Yes....reminding me of Hahane a lot...an opener who had to bat at #4 in odis...struggled...then did okay...and now nowhere in the team. I hope Rahul doesn't suffer same fate.

Speed guns in this series looks a bit on the lesser side regarding the speed readings. It looks 2-3 ks slower

than the normal. Bumrah is mostly around 137-141 kph while he is 140-144 kph normally.BK is 135-140 kph nowadays but he has bowled 132-136 kph mostly in this series.Maybe the conditions have something to do with it still I think readings are bit lower than normal.Shardul has mostly bowled around 138-139 kph today with some of the deliveries over 140 kph and fastest being 148 kph. That ball really looked fast.He visibly he looks faster than what speed gun readings are showing. He is easily bowling around 142-143 kph today.Hitting the deck hard is certainly heartening to see...very impressive performance from him.

SRT compares  Rahul with club cricketer

but I think he just broke G.R Vishwanths record in test with 7 consecutive 50 in test cricket for India ,so for test, he is golden boy for India.

India needs to find next keeper will it be Pant or some one else they need to find out ASAP.If Dhoni is playing 2019 world cup India is not winning it.

India is already looking for another keeper and have tried different keepers in different formats as well as A teams.

And regarding loosing WC because of playing Dhoni, we are actually going to Win only if we have Dhoni or Dhoni like player in the XI. Infact I personally will be more comfortable with Dhoni in side as compared to others in WC unless he is not fit.

Even if you trott India's second or third eleven against this Srilanka's team , India will be winning the series. You have top three who are going to play next world cup so you build team around them.

Just because Pandya or Jadhav failed you stop trying to find new players. Dhoni is still very good in absorbing pressure but those instances you mentioned they were chasing below par totals. But that does not make Dhoni a great odi player anymore.

You can understand Rahul failing  but he needs to be given more chances but there nothing to learn about Dhoni he is a legend there is nothing new to learn about him.

Kohli needs to sit next game and let Rahul open and find out what Rahul can do if he opens.

Dhonis presence is enough for us to lift the trophy. Everything else is just part of the process. No worries!!!!!!

Openers are used to play a certain way , they are normally not under pressure of scoring quickly from word go , starting off against spinners can be extremely difficult especially with the filed spread out . They are used to getting easy boundaries with PP and when you make these guys bat in the middle order , more often than not you will see them struggle with strike rotation and press the panic button

Thats why I keep saying we have a serious shortage of batsmen who can do well in middle overs and finishing off matches , that is a rare skill and we where extremely lucky for a past few years we had Yuvi/Raina/MSD all playing at their best and every one seems to be assuming we can plug out and plug in any good good batsmen and all our problems will be solved overnight .

Pandey seems to be much better than Rahul, from their short careers thus far.

Rahul should be competing with Jadhav for a spot, with Pandey the preferred option.

Pandya needs to be able to bowl a full 10 overs though, if we want to have an extra pure batsman.

Shardul really bowled 148k ?? does he look like a long term prospect.

More than the speed he looks like someone who is seasoned enough to not spray it around once attacked. We need bowlers like this and hope selectors make a better rotation policy .

India no longer wants @ keeper who is not a Dependable batsman because India planning for 5SpecIalist bowler under VK so we need someone like SAHA who is best in all department.PANT still learning other skills.we have some other keeper in India but either they are good with the bat still below par excellence  with the Gloves.

Wade gave 26 plus byes in recently completed test, results was 20 runs victory.

Ever since Prasad recharge MSD's Battery('' if MS not bats well, we will replace him''

MSD now bats like champion player.

Kohlis love Affairs with Srilanka

Virat Kohli now has 2076 runs against Sri Lanka.

After a couple of fascinating wins in the last two days by Windies and Bangladesh, things returned to normalcy as India continued their domination over Sri Lanka. Virat Kohli won the toss in the fourth One-Day International and opted to bat for the first time this series and India finished with 375 for 5. Kohli led the way with 131 while Rohit Sharma scored 104, following his unbeaten 124 in the third ODI. Manish Pandey and MS Dhoni also chipped in with 50 and 49 respectively with their 74-ball 101 fifth-wicket stand helping India to the massive total after a mini-collapse in the middle.

Stats highlights from India's innings at RPS:

5 Instances of a team having three captains in a bilateral series - Sri Lanka have used the services of Upul Tharanga, Chamara Kapugedara and Lasith Malinga in this series so far. The last such instance came when Zimbabwe had three in the home series against England in 2001. The only other time Sri Lanka had three skippers in any series was during the Asia Cup in Bangladesh in 1998.

2 Dhoni became the second wicketkeeper to appear in 300 ODIs after Kumar Sangakkara who played 360 games. In addition to the 297 ODIs for India, he also appeared in three matches for Asia XI in 2007.

2076 Runs by Kohli against Sri Lanka - nearly one fourth of his career ODI runs. He became the fifth player to score 2000 runs against them and his 44 innings to the landmark is the fewest, one less than Dhoni's 45. Only Sachin Tendulkar has accumulated 2000 runs in fewer innings against an opponent - in 40 innings against Australia while Viv Richards also took 44 innings against Australia.

29 ODI hundreds for Kohli - third most by any player in history only behind Sachin Tendulkar's 49 and Ricky Ponting's 30. He went past Sanath Jayasuriya's 29 hundreds in 445 ODIs during today's knock.

Most hundreds in ODIs:
Player Mat Runs HS Avg SR 100s 50s
S Tendulkar 463 18426 200* 44.83 86.23 49 96
R Ponting 375 13704 164 42.03 80.39 30 82

AB de Villiers 222 9319 162* 53.55 100.25 24 53

MS Dhoni has now stayed unbeaten for 73 times in his 300 ODIs.

131 by Kohli is the joint highest by any captain in ODIs hosted by Sri Lanka. He equaled Arjuna Ranatunga's unbeaten 131 against India at the same venue in 1997.

3 Double hundred partnerships between Rohit and Kohli in 55 innings together - the joint most by any pair alongside Sachin Tendulkar-Sourav Ganguly, Upul Tharanga-Mahela Jayawardene and Gautam Gambhir-Kohli. This was the tenth instance of Kohli being involved in a 200-plus stand, four more than anyone else in history.

219-run stand between Rohit and Kohli is the highest ever second wicket partnership in ODIs in Sri Lanka. They went past the unbeaten 197-run stand between Shikhar Dhawan and Kohli in the first match if this ODI series in Dambulla.

His 203 ODIs to the milestone is the fifth fastest overall behind Brett Lee (171), Waqar Younis (186), Glenn McGrath (200) and Muralitharan (202).

85 Balls taken by Rohit to reach his hundred - the fastest of his 13 ODI centuries. The only other time he scored a hundred in less than 100 balls was against South Africa in Kanpur in 2015. 104 is the second lowest score among his 13 ODI hundreds after the unbeaten 101 against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo in 2010.

73 Instances of MS Dhoni remaining unbeaten in his 300 ODIs - the most by any player. He went past 72 not-outs each by Chaminda Vaas and Shaun Pollock. 42 of those not-outs have come in the second innings. He has scored 161 runs in three innings this series without getting dismissed.

375 for 5 is the third highest total ever in ODIs in Sri Lanka and highest against the home side. They went past 363 for 5 against the home side at the same venue in 2009. Only Sri Lanka's 398 for 5 against Kenya in Kandy in 1996 and Pakistan's 385 for 7 in Dambulla in 2010 are higher totals in Sri Lanka.

India 363/5 SL Colombo (RPS) 3 Feb 09 won

168 Losing margin for Sri Lanka - the heaviest inflicted on them in a home ODI in terms of runs. The previous heaviest defeat at home was by 147 runs, also against India at the same venue in 2009. Overall, this is their third biggest against India in terms of runs after the 183-run drubbing in Johannesburg in 2003 and 169-run defeat in Cuttack in 2014.
