it will be disgraceful for us
after quality no.6 bats like ajay jadeja, yuvi, dhoni, raina ( all these averaged 40-50 in first class)... now blind hitter like krunal will bat for us ??
India has a rich tradition of producing proper class batsman, krunal can at best fit in at 8 after his bro.

Its like australia playing mitch marsh at no.4 and 5 in tests...lol

first cricket has changed

Krunal is looked as an all rounder who can bowl more then 5 overs consistently n if needed 10, none of names u have mentioned above cud do that. Yuvraj only during a phase

Nothing is disgraceful, he hasnt been given a chance yet. One names among raina will always be considered and under achiever.

Its not what we had in best , its about whats the best in present

Krunal is a proper batsman who bats at 3 for his state side. He is not a slogger.

Bump!

We are so blessed to have an awesome talent like Hardik in the team after years of mediocrity from Binny!

Just imagine if his brother also joins the team! We will have 2 match winning allrounders just like England (Stokes & Moeen)

I know that the IPL is no parameter to judge any cricketers but there must be something great about Krunal's batting if he bats before Hardik in every match for Mumbai!

I am very excited about watching the 2 brothers play together for Team India! :cheer:

To me this lad is so overhyped by icf mob .

Has played one fc game and 17 list a games . That’s it !!! Can’t get in his fc team

sorry needs to do a lot more to be considered for india

Who says he can't get into FC team? He has been unfortunate with injuries. He was supposed to make his FC debut in 2015 but broke his shoulder just before the season, underwent surgery and long rehab, played IPL and impressed. Then he debuted in 2016, played first game and tore his hamstring, again underwent surgery and a long rehab then played IPL and won MI the final in a low scoring game. Then got picked for India A for one days, did quite well with the bat but suffered another injury and has missed ranji season till now.

Averaging 36 at a strike rate of 150 plus should be enough to get into the t20 side at number 6. You dont need a t20 team or even a odi team stacked with batsman with high first class averages.

he can be considered for t20. its better if we don't pick neither good batsman nor good bowler kind of players for odi team.

In ODIs and T20s, who a good batsman is depends on the batting position ( requirements of that batting position ).

Batters coming in at No.6 and No.7, should have the ability to hit from ball one, should be able to hit big 6s and play at a high SR.  Classical batters are often not good enough for this role.

Krunal would be an ideal No. 6 or No. 7 in both ODIs and T20s
