What happened to Barinder Sran?

If anyone doesn't remember, Sran is a tall left arm fast bowler that debuted against Aus in Aus before World T20 2016 and had a decent series on those graveyard pitches where scores of 300 were chased down easily for fun by both teams.

After that series, he was never seen in Indian colors again. But where did he go and how come he's not getting more chances?

He didn't get selected for India A's tour of SA that finished last month, nor is he in any of the Duleep trophy squads. The Aussies just finished playing a warm up match against the left over Indian domestic players but he was not even part of that squad as well!

Currently, Team India does not have a fast bowler that is left handed. I believe that since Sran fits this description, he should have gotten a consistent and fair run to prove himself and show whether or not he is international standard.

If the likes of Kulkarni & Dinda can still be in the selector's scheme of things, then I don't see the harm in giving bowler's like Sran some chances as well

Sran last played in Zim and did very well on that tour. He picked up a 6 wickets in the 2 T20 matches that he played including a 4-fer and 4 wickets in the ODI matches. Then he got injured and made a comeback in IPL but didn't play many matches. Unless he is injured now, it is really strange that he is not in any of the India A squads or Duleep trophy squads.

He has developed that ball which moves into the batsmen....moreover he was swiningin the ball well

Bad to see him succumb to the injuries

He didn't vanish after Aus tour. He played in Zim and swung the ball prodiciously. He got injured and hasn't played since then. Long injuries are always risky for fast bowlers because they can completely end up losing their rhythm. Need to see how he comes back.
