The question being raised here is  --   how is Bumrah  " medium "  ?

Even on his slower days, he bowls 135 k to 142 k .... and that is   " fast-medium ".

I can understand statisticians ignoring his rather frequent faster spells of 140 k to  145 k / 148 k .... but they must consider the speeds in his standard spells atleast.

He isnt medium . He is fast medium easily.

Do you see the irony here? You are contradicting your own statement! Amir bowls in 130's.. Especially in tests. I am not sure when has Amir clocked quicker than all those 3!

Amir has clocked 150 kph in 4 different countries . I have seen him bowl genuinely fast spells . Even the one against india in the asia cup was a fast spell . Only shoaib akhtar and brett lee had the ability to bowl quicker spells i-e 95 mph -99 mph when in the mood . Lee and akhtar circa 2001 -2003 were what you call proper express.

Yadav has done that in Aus, England, India..has not played in SA and NZ.  Aaron has done that in Aus, NZ, England, Bangladesh, India. Has not played in WI and SA.

the bowlers need to improve their batting ,only bhuvi and kuldeep have something ,the rest cant even hold the bat.they need to work on this in the junior levels and ranji.

Shami too can use the long handle. Umesh is lottery just like his bowling.

Bumrahji batting karne aate hai crease par utna hi kafi hai.

Bowling odd ball over 150 here and there does make any bowler express.Amir by any stretch is not express neither are Yadav or Varun.

Discussion is about " fast bowlers " .... those who can bowl  135 k to 145 / 147 k spells fairly regularity.

If we are talking about " express bowlers " ..... those who can bowl 140 k to 153 k spells fairly regularly .... then we will be left with only Shoaib, Lee, Johnson, Starc.... and, sometimes Cummins and Bond. ( 1999 onward from when speed-guns were regularly used.... and before that it is all speculation with no regular data  )

Amir has clocked quicker speeds than all three. He has hit 150 kph on multiple occasions and is rightly listed as left arm fast.

show me a few test matches where Amir has clocked an average of say 139 and top speed somewhere in 145-150, this is basic for fast classification.

I can show you a few for Shami/Umesh and Ishant. Even for Aaron i can find one i guess.

LOI games are a bit erratic, bowlers bowl on rhythm ( on their day you are talking about, does not work in test matches).

India does have a lot of variety in its bowling attack nowadays in both tests and ODIs

Fast bowlers -  Umesh, Shami, Ishant .... Bumrah ( in some spells )

Bounce bowlers - Ishant, Bumrah, Shami, Hardik

Swing bowlers - Bhuvi, Umesh, Shardul

Death-over-specialists  - Bumrah, Bhuvi

Wrist spinners - Kuldeep, Chahal, Mishra

Finger-spinners _ Ashwin, Jadeja, Axar

Darters - Jadeja, Axar

Aaron was the quickest bowler on average on Aus tour in 2015 quciker than Johnson and Umesh.

Yadav and aaron are not good enough to be a part of the indian odi attack at present . Why are we discussing them . ??

Edit : ok just noticed this isnt about the odi attack .

Yes.... he can be called " fast " .... but Umesh should be called " fast " too.

True for Umesh .

I think he needs a stand out world tournament to announce himself or a succesful overseas test series . I have noticed he drops his pace slightly in world events .
