Strike rates in 70s and 80s. Why test strike rates are better than odis

Was just checking strike rates of some of the players.  Mohinder amarnath strike rate 86 in test. Below 60 in odis. Gavaskar also better in test. Vishwanath strike rate in test is 75 and odis is 52. Clive Lloyd test strike rate is 100 and odis is 82.  I have just checked few players.

Did they take odis seriously.

Cricbuzz stats are not reliable. No way does Jimmy strike at 86 or Lloyd at 100 in tests. Surely there is some error on their stats page(espncricinfo is better in that regard). Those days in tests, while maintaining scorecard balls faced would not be recorded in the scoresheet. Even till mid 90s balls faced column would be empty because it was too tedious to record that. Only after the advent of internet and online scorekeeping has it been possible to add that additional column in the scorecards. Check the scorecard of 70s and 80s, teams would barely score 275-300 in a day's play, no way are the strike rates as high as mentioned in cricbuzz.
