Popular Post sandeep
Watching the 3rd India Australia ODI meander to its predictable conclusion, I couldn't help but notice the despair and frustration in the eyes of the Australian players. Smith. Warner. Finch. Stoinis. Handscomb. Agar. You can see it in all of them. Frustration. Fatigue. Disappointment. That creeping knowledge that the game is over. And with it, the series. And all they can do is go through the motions and take another L. These are professional cricketers out there, all quite skilled in their own right, doing their best, but knowing that slowly, inevitably, their best is not going to be good enough, and is going to come up short. I know that look. I have seen it. Felt it. Endured it, way too often as an Indian fan during the late 90s and early 2000s, at the hands of that all-conquering superlative Australian team of that era. The shoe is on the other foot. And damn if it doesn't feel good. Let's brownwash the potty-mouth brats. Tibarn
The bowling is weaker without Starc there, but their batting is basically their best right now, with Finch back. They are missing a replacement for Watson IMO. Link to comment

CoverDrive
Yes sledging when the game is lost is like the worst thing to do :) you quietly take your loss and move on. Problem for them has been ineffective bowling. Link to comment

It was a shot of confidence, arrogance even. High risk, but total control, maximum result. And Smith reacted by saying something like "that's a ridiculous shot. He can't do that". Damn that was good to watch. nevada and flamy 2 Link to comment
putrevus
They need to whitewash them for all the suffering/heartbreaks Aussies caused us over the years.Aussies have won so much and they seem to bounce back just fine. Link to comment

Hijdas like @Prince_ started dancing and raising their lungis pre-maturely, predicting an easy series win for Australia in the 1st game thread. And even since then, in each of the games, the Australian front-line bowlers have done a good job. They are merely paying the overdue price for playing with 4 bowlers, 3.5 if you consider how raw and inexperienced Agar is. Link to comment
maniac
The Aussie team has been piss poor...Yes Starc is a match winner and an impact player who can win matches on his own but don't Aussies take pride in the battery of fast bowling backups? The fact that Agar is your primary spinner shows the cupboard is bare in that department. Also I believe Starc and Hazelwood played in CT where Aussies sucked as well. Link to comment

I'm actually a bit disappointed in the Aussie performance. I wanted this series to put some pressure on our batting so that we are forced to update our strategy. Indian team only makes changes to players and tactics when under pressure of losing. Our team is constructed to aim at 330 in ODIs, while England aim at 400. Aim low, score low. And as SL showed us in the CT, even an ordinary team can chase down a 330 in ODIs these days. Mosher and Laaloo 2 Link to comment
