express bowling
What was impressive was the mature manner in which Prithvi constructed his innings.... being cautious when needed and attacking when needed. Link to comment

Another gr8 thing he looks to have so much time while playing the ball, it was evident against Ishant and he is no trundler Link to comment

And Rohit Sharma was barely out of u19 when he played for India in the 1st T20 World Cup. But why be "real"? Much easier to throw around innuendo. GoldenSun 1 Link to comment
Wapas
No one remember any other Indians who makes runs at tender age because that was in 2002 or before, now BCCI doing same as England, Pakistan is only country in the past who support player from very young age.Mushtaq début before 16.(haneef's bro) Parthiv in 2002 vs England when he was 17.Shivramakrishna,maninder,piyush Chawla, all 3 were 17 on test début. Chetan Sharma at 18 vs Pakistan.PAKISTAN'S Javed Miandad scored 206 on début vs eng at 19.Umar Akmal 129 and 76 on début at 18 in Newzeland in test, yes. Yasser Hameed not even 20, hits 170 and 105 on début --Chanceless both innings We should try this kid P:Shaw vs SL in our 70th independence year celebration Edited September 25, 2017 by Wapas Link to comment
cowboysfan
I just watched highlights.First thing i noticed i Ishant really sucks now,he has fallen off the map.Prithvi shaw is a natural strokemake and should be playing in A teams soon but he is a long way off from making an international debut for india,he is too loose outside off ,he should has been out a couple of times if the slips were placed properly. So one young player in the last 10 years, you obviously don't set the bar very high. Kohli and Sharma made their debuts in the previous decade so not exactly recent. Fact is Eng now give young players more of a chance than India - the Dhoni years being particularity regressive with preference given to recycling has-beens like RP Singh than nurturing new talent. How old was Kuldeep when he made his debut?. How old was Bumrah? How old was KL Rahul on his test debut?. How old was Axar Patel? Edited September 26, 2017 by sandeep tweaker 1 Link to comment

Hardik, Kuldeep, Chahal, Bumrah, Rahul Pandey and Axar being tried now too. It must be said though that all these young players have added a lot of freshness, quality and variety to our team .... and this experience lays down a case for 2 or 3 more new faces. Krunal, Shankar, Iyer, Pant, Siraj and Aniket C .... need to be tried too. Edited September 26, 2017 by express bowling Mosher and tweaker 1 1 Link to comment

Stop obsessing over kids to throw at the deep end over seasoned vets. Link to comment
