Pune has been an unlucky stadium for us so high chances we might get defeated there. Since NZ are coming better prep with A tour and warmup game and our selection hasnt been gr8 .....who knws this series might go against us .

Actually we can loose 2-1. 3 match series can be tricky

In ODIs I think  it's gonna be a clean sweep for us. NZ traditional always played poorly in Odis, in India. I think the last series was the closest they have ever competed with us.

Im worried about t20s though, we have never beaten them, ever.

Nz has a good bowling attack - Boult, southee are skillfull bowlers

And pune has been unlucky..... pandey n jadhav are not converting their opp so they ll be under pressure and good bowlers can exploit it. With short series u never knw

Dropped for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, opener KL Rahul was today drafted as an additional member in the Board President's XI side which will take on the visitors in two warm-up games.

It will be an opportunity for Rahul to get back into the limited overs side as he has not been in great form and also did not get too many opportunities.

In addition to the Karnataka batsman, leg-spinner Karn Sharma, who has been in great form for India A against the Black caps A side, was called as a replacement for injured Rajasthan youngster Rahul Chahar.

The team will be lead by Mumbai batsman Shreyas Iyer.

Board President's XI team: Shreyas Iyer (Captain), KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant (wk), Karun Nair, Gurkeerat Mann, Prithvi Shaw, Shivam Chaudhary, Milind Kumar, Shahbaz Nadeem, Karn Sharma, Dhawal Kulkarni, Jaydev Unadkat, Avesh Khan

KL Rahul should bat at middle order preferably at No.4 or No.3 to get himself habituated. There is no point in opening if he is not gonna play as opener.

Kl Rahul and Sreyas Iyer are two bats from who I have hopes to plug our No.4 problem. It's gonna be interesting if Boult, Southee plays and take one or two wickets early and how these batsmen comes up for rescue.
