veer
this was our last or 2nd last trial match.. , dont get hearburns for the loss.. look at bigger pic (i.e finalizing squad for WC) outcomes of past 5 trial games, -SRT looks confy at batting in middle orders.. -karthik should play in playing 11.. -dravid should not come at #3.. -lower orders need to contribute runs.. -yuvi, pathan are questionable... they are key ingredients.. yes pathan can give balance to our team.. we badly need an all rounder, when others have 2-3 big time all rounders.. -cant afford to play two pure spinners when you have SRT and VS and make batting weaker.. - to reach final in wc, we need better fielders than we currently have.. at the end it will count.. so far performing certains are.. RD, SRT, SG, Dhoni, Karthik ZAK Agarkar Bhajji Uthappa Non performing certains are. patel veeru yuvi and then.. pathan? raina? kumble? pawar? gambhir? Link to comment
apocalypse
Re: Notes from trial matches.. I think Munaf is bowling pretty well. Uthappa cant be relied so much though because he does not have much experience If Dravid does not come at #3 who will come? Plus who will open consistently? Link to comment
veer
Re: Notes from trial matches.. If Dravid does not come at #3 who will come? Plus who will open consistently? there are more benefits of dravid coming at 5 than him coming at 3.. veeru or karthik can easily come at 3 while chasing.. or dhoni when setting up target.. dravid is type of player who waits till the end to open up his arms, which can be fatal on flat tracks, against good teams.. Better play him on top rather than when bowl becomes old Link to comment
