Indian bowlers let the team down against NZ in the 3rd "T20".

67 in 8 overs was a sub-par batting performance by the Indian team.   A loss here would have served the team's long-term interests by exposing their shriveled batting firepower in this vaunted "top-heavy" batting line-up.   Unless the team suffers losses, they will refuse to change their attitude and selection strategy.   We badly needed this loss after that batting "show".

But no.   Bumrah, Chahal and Bhuvi, along with Hardik Pandya's gun run-outs  provided the "rock stars" with a nice blue chaddi to cover up the nanga exposure of their pathetic batting today.

P.S.  Hope Pandya hasn't broken a finger there - bad time for him to sit out - he could have used the SL test series to get some red ball bowling practice.

why the f does KL Rahul not play..because he did not bat well against SL in SL... ? how come more people are not asking this.

The guy looked a million dollars, what a waste.

Hoping he is the highest scorer in Test Series atleast. Else he will be asked to warm the bench to get Dhawan opening.

More like another year or two

Bigger problem is that we do not play much t20 even though we surely play more often now than what we used to as now we are starting to have proper series. But we have to be serious now. Even if its just oneo-off twenty20 after a test series, we need to fly down our t20 specialists just for that. This is how you make sure that t20 is taken seriously. Before whats been happening is we end up playing same players from ODI squad because they are already in the country. This is not the way we will improve our team.

Even though agree with OP, I hate to see people say India should lose. Shunya hit the nail.

Ticsy, you ought to know that I never want India to lose.   But I'm feeling the frustration of seeing 2 years go by, and a stubborn refusal by the team to adapt to the evolving game and its requirements.  It is aggravating to see India not deliver results on the batting side when it clearly does have players and skillsets at its disposal.

I never said in particular to you and hence I said that I agree with your sentiments, just that I don’t generally like anyone saying aindianshould lose. That could be anyone saying. I doubt you said anything exactly that.

No one wants India to lose...in fact the disappointment is that we have the resources and the talent to be the new WI of the 80s or Aus of the 90s and 2000s but we are just getting by with some easy wins due to the opposition quality or even with wrong selections which is masking a lot of faults...we want a wake up call that acts as an agent for these changes.

Hell I was hoping for Dhoni to repeat his 183 or even Jadhav to play out of his skin in the CT finals even though I want them to be out of the side.It is not about winning and losing...it’s about the change to become totally ruthless and dominating.

This is why I praised Kohli’s captaincy in tests..even if we are 1-0 up he wants a total sweep or the way we came back in Srilanka in 2015 when we are 1-0 down, this is because our team in tests is solid and our captaincy aggressive which is a total contrast to LOIs
