rkt.india
He retired hurt a set Batsman hitting him twice flush on the helmet. Will post those videos tomorrow. You know when a guy can bowl like this in his 30th over of the innings then that guy is extra special. He h it the batsman twice in his 30th over. Hit him before he could react. just too quick for even a set batsman. this full length delivery just too quick for this middle order batsman, Apoorva Wankhede who was a part of Mumbai Indians squad before. speedheat, Mosher, zen and 5 others 4 1 3 Link to comment

He ended up with 4 wickets on FC debut bowling on a docile pitch. First day was bad for them but today they picked 9 wickets for 220 odd rubs and he himself got 4 wickets for 70 odd odd runs today. Yesterday, I would say there were nerves of debut but he came back well today. Bowled 40 plus overs in the innings and was still bowling fast making the Batsman hop around in his 42nd over that shows the kid has good stamina. Rightarmfast and tweaker 2 Link to comment

Mosher
Ishan is certainly quick but only a speedometer will tell us how quick. Also looks like his bouncers are a lot more pacy than his full pitched deliveries. express bowling, speedheat, Cricketics and 1 other 4 Link to comment

express bowling
Ishan Porel picks up 4 wickets in the first innings of his FC debut We saw some raw pace from him and atleast 50 nasty, hostile bouncers ... rising steeply and many of them seaming in. Hit a set batsman twice on the helmet in the same over. He has stamina too, and was seen bowling quick even after sending down 40 overs in 4 sessions. This is an essential quality for a test bowler. He bowled a decent line and length and did not spray the ball around. Can seam the ball both ways and gets some swing too on occasions. A tall, hit-the-deck genuine quick bowler is what we had been waiting for. He was making the batters hop and hurry with many of his good length balls too. Keeper was collecting the balls chest to head high, more often than not. Edited November 10, 2017 by express bowling Rightarmfast, tweaker, Mosher and 4 others 1 6 Link to comment

Pat Cummins bowled 150 at 17. Nagarkoti bowled 145 at 17. James Overton bowled 150 at 19. Ishant too bowled 150 at 19. tweaker 1 Link to comment

rkt.india
He was bowling with dinda and Kanishk who bowls 135. Dinda hits 135+ too. None of those two made Batsmen hope around. He looked quicker than even Lalit who bowled as quick as Umesh in the Ranji game they played together. He hit a set Batsman on the helmet twice, got retired hurt. He is full deliveries will be around 140 but short ones are certainly 90 mph plus. This is the quickest I have seen an indian bowler bowl this domestic season and I saw Umesh Yadav bowl too for Vidarbha. Found Ishan quicker. jusarrived
Normally dont buy into pace bowler hype , but he looks like an exciting prospect . The flat pitch makes it seem like hes bowling in high 130s , but thats genuine pace and very impressive for a 19 year old . LORD_analyst 1 Link to comment
express bowling
I like hostile fast bowlers. They put the fear of injury in the minds of opposition batters and help their team gain psychological advantage unless they are spray-guns. Srinath was such a quick for around 8 years in the '90s. Munaf for a couple of years in the mid 2000s. Aaron, when he gets a chance and Md. Shami among our current quicks. Ishan Porel may continue this legacy. Other uncapped contenders are Avesh Khan and Kulwant Khejroliya. Fast bowling in the pre-speedgun days was all about hostility .... no-one knew what speeds they bowled at but fast bowlers were those who were physically feared by batters. Fastest he bowled was 145 which Nehra, Zak, Agarkar all had bowled multiple times. Link to comment
