SUMO
I would like all 3 to open simultaneously on a triangular pitch RAZPOR, Sgattick10, beetle and 4 others 7 Link to comment
Gollum
As such Kohli is pretty high on my hate list. If he plays Dhawan/Rohit he will topple Dhoni from the no 1 spot. The Dark Horse, velu, Vk1 and 2 others 5 Link to comment
Lannister
How the * did Dhawan even came into the contention? His overseas records are nothing short of pathetic and if we play politics again, expect another miserable round of overseas tour. But this time fans are going to lose complete interest. beetle, maniac and King Tendulkar 3 Link to comment
Oldhere
Based on what i have seen from Kohli/Shastri in ODI's/T20, dont be surprised if you see Dhawan and Vijay opening with Rahul on bench. Link to comment
fineleg
This is a stupid decision to persist with Dhawan who will score against SL, and flop against SA. http://www.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/98380/india-primed-to-resume-test-supremacy-over-sri-lanka-at-home-first-test-eden-gardens-kolkata-preview Team News: India Virat Kohli all but confirmed that Shikhar Dhawan will continue to hold down his spot and open with KL Rahul, which resigns Murali Vijay to the bench. Based on how the two training sessions prior to the game have gone, it looks likely that Bhuvneshwar Kumar will take up the spot left vacant by Hardik Pandya. Link to comment

wanted_desi
This what is going to happen in South Africa before Vijay gets back. Rabadda to Dhawan, OUT, Pitches it up from round the stumps, Dhawan pushes forward at it, and it moves away slightly in the air to hit the edge and it is a simple catch to First Slip, Alma makes no mistakes. Philander to Dhawan, OUT, went for a hard push, results in a thick outside edge towards second slip, these South Africans don't drop many there, Faf De Plessis gets his big hands securely around the ball, Dhawan has to go. Rabadda to Dhawan, OUT, whoah, that was outstanding from Rabada, big movement away after pitching outside leg, Dhawan forced to play, nicks it through to third slip, a low catch taken by Cook, and there's the first breakthrough Phildaner to Dhawan, OUT, superbly taken by De Kock! Philander pushes the length up, gets it to deviate just enough to catch the edge of Dhawan's bat.. He was looking to push tentatively.. The edge would have gone to first slip but De Kock dives to his left to pluck out a one-hander. LORD_analyst, Forever Indian and Vk1 3 Link to comment
Gollum
* Dhawan in place of Vijay !!!!! Sure this clown will score lots of runs here and boot MV out of the side. We will effectively start every innings in SA at 0/1 after 1 over. This is utter stupidity. beetle and LORD_analyst 2 Link to comment
Vk1
Shocked dumbstruck and flabbergasted...add other jargons. How the frock can you drop the most consistent opener across conditions in the world. maniac, Gollum, Laaloo and 2 others 5 Link to comment

putrevus
Dhawan was emergency call up in SL , he should remain as backup as we know he is going get squared up the moment he sees Steyn and Philander. He can hit three triple hundreds in this series but it won't change my mind he needs to sit.Kohli is out of his mind if he think he is going to play well in SA. WTH is Akash Chopra smoking .
