Trichromatic
He needs to take 8 wickets in 2 matches, but seeing what happened in first test, it seems that he might not get many overs to bow. Link to comment
Lala2790
It's what happens when you play soooooo many games in the SC. If he had a 60/40 split of SC-non-SC games he'd be mid to low 200's Shaz1 1 Link to comment
flat_wicket_bully
Depends on what kind of surfaces are provided for next 2 matches. If nagpur pitch is like one we got in 2004 then I dont think he will able to get it in this series. Link to comment

SA, Aust and NZ all play 5 home tests per year and 7 - 8 away tests. Ashwin likely plays 60% at home alone then multiple away games on the SC. Little wonder that this has inflated his aggregate yet he constantly fails in Eng/Aust conditions Link to comment

Constantly failed in Eng. When? Turning_track 1 Link to comment

Constantly failed in Eng. When? Not many Australian's or New Zealanders on the list as I stated. Herath and Steyn confirmed less than 60%. Little secret that Eng and Ind play more home games than away. Aswin averages nearly 32 away at a strike rate of 60 - http://www.howstat.com/cricket/Statistics/Players/PlayerHomeAway.asp?PlayerID=3788#bowl His overseas record is clearly poor and if he had a more even spread of SC-non Sc games he would be around the low-mid 200's. He is not better than Warne, Muarali, Kumble, Herath, Mushtaq, Harbarjahn; his record flatters him Link to comment

Find one player from Aus, Eng and SL who have played 50% or less in 80+ tests. From India, I can say that SRT, Dravid, Gavaskar all would be on the list. Link to comment
Cricketics
Depends how good or bad our seamers do. If they don’t do as well as previous test, he will get more overs and then he can surely achieve. Link to comment

My stats have already debunked your theory - Asherwin cashes in at home but flops away. If he had a more even distribution of away vs home games his record would look vastly different.
