Popular Post express bowling
Fast bowler Navdeep Saini has been doing well for our A-team and in other FC matches in recent times. Picked up 7 wickets from 2 FC matches on the last A-tour to SA. Today, in a Ranji semi-final, speeds were being shown. As @Mosher pointed out in the Ranji thread, his speeds were Fastest 144.4 k Average 138.6 k Bowled quite a few 144 k and 143 k balls. That is very good pace in a domestic 5-day match He was sustaining pace and intensity in his last spell of the day too and that is an important trait for an aspiring test pacer He gets zip off the deck , hits the bat hard and has a good bouncer. Can swing and reverse swing the ball and gets seam movement also. Was bowling in good areas today, mostly targeted at around top of off stump...... picked up 2 wickets and could have had another on a pitch not offering much movement FC stats ... average 24.5 .... SR 53.8 .... very good Should be sent to SA as a net bowler and considered as a serious contender for a future test slot. Forever Indian
Definitely the most ready pacer for test debut! LORD_analyst, Mosher and express bowling 1 2 Link to comment
Insidious
What is brilliant about him is that he is maintaining good line and length along with pace. I like his run up and action, smooth like Umesh yadav. Another fast bowler to watch out for is Rajneesh Gurbani of Vidarbha . Don't Know about his pace, but a nippy bowler. Hell Raiser
Absolutely. He was impressive. He was getting good bounce of the deck and was hurrying the batsmen in his every spell. Definite India material and seems ready for international cricket. Exciting prospect. Mosher, express bowling and speedheat 1 2 Link to comment

Mosher
Saini has a smooth runup and bowling action. He doesn't look like he is putting too much effort and still clocking impressive speeds. He bowled in good areas throughout the day and like @express bowling mentioned good intensity even in the last session of the day. He showed he can reverse the ball as well. He is looking like a complete bowler. Very good India prospect. Edited December 17, 2017 by Mosher MK55, speedheat, Hell Raiser and 3 others 1 5 Link to comment
fineleg
Should go on SA-tour as nets bowler - but won't be able to, due to Ranji Assignment. (Ankit Rajpoot going instead). Cricinfo shows "Right arm Medium" - thats usually lesser than the 136-144 mentioned in this thread? Just curious - are there any Rt/left Fast Medium or Rt/left Fast - in Indian domestic cricket? express bowling
Bowling to the touring Australian test side in a practice match Saini bouncing out Warner .... watch from 0.40 gets Renshaw with a channel delivery .... watch from 1.35 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pX-nW27CAow&t=4s Edited December 17, 2017 by express bowling Jimmy Cliff 1 Link to comment
speedheat
Most positive thing about this is as said by express bowling bhai that he sustained his pace in 5day game, so he is genuinely a genuine quick bowler unlike some fluke who bowls quick int20 but trundles in longer format. Pollack
Navdeep Saini has a really good action. He looks in perfect rhythm from runup to release to follow through. If he turns out a successful bowler he would be one of those whom you would pay to watch. Not following much domestic cricket these days. So thanks @express bowling for the update. express bowling, Jimmy Cliff, Mosher and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment
