The best batsman in odis always play in the top  3. Rohit had to abide his time till the virus sachins gambhirs retired. Once they went the decision to ask him to open was no brainer. Even Kohli can open in odis. It's just that he had success at 3 and cemented that. Infact any good batsman in LOI should open or at max come at 3.

I like Rohit the captain .. Another myth busted today that Dhoni can bat where he wants.. He is a true follower of his batting captain but when it gets to fielding he is like Rajinikanth.. He sets the field and helps bowlers where necessary. Stumpings Today are top class.. No wonder why Kohli and Rohit are big fans of him.
