Sarfaraz Khan retained by RCB

You guys need to understand that players have to agree with the price amount. Chahal might not have agreed for 7 or less Cr. Even Rahul would not have agreed with 7 or less.

They got Sarfaraz for 1.7 cr which is not much. Though I am not sure he is even worth that.

You think pandya would have agreed for 7?? Easily 10crs player if he is in Auctions

He wont go for 3 Cr. in auction, at max 1 Cr or so. He hasn't been scoring much even in domestic T20s.

he has not played domestic this season due to injury. otherwise, he is a gun batsman and I think it is a right move. you barely find good uncapped T20 players and he is one.

This is all confusing (the prices).

The actual prices paid to the players in not that relevant. What's important is what's deducted from the auction purse.

How did RCB get deducted 31 Cr for 3 retentions (2 normal + 1 uncapped). For 2 normal retentions, deduction is 21 Cr. So effectively they lost 10 Cr for retaining Sarfaraz?

Its either the amount paid or the minimum slab..which ever is higher.

For three players the minimum slab is 15Crs 11 Crs and 7 Crs. But for Uncapped it is 3 Crs.

Kohli demanded 17 Crs AB got 11 and Sarfaraz got 1.7

So deductions are 17,11 and 3 which is a total of 31 Crs.

Kohli is playing to his votebank oops minority fanbase. If you see his social media activity you will understand what I mean :phehe:, after all everything boils down to Brand Kohli and his PR team is out of the world. Jo kehna thaa, keh diya.

With a wife who is a big time bollywood actress, it will always be like this. There will be lot of aman ki asha n all for upcoming years from their side.

Hmm. Kind of screwed up the team purse.

For the sake of the team, Kohli and AB should have let RCB to retain just 2 of them at normal pricing (12 and 8.5), for a total of 21 Cr. leaving plenty left for the auctions.

Now, in effect, they bought Sarfaraz for 10 Cr.

PS: Or they should have retained 3 ... Kohli, AB, Chahal/Gayle/Rahul ... for 15,11,7
