They do lot of marketing. It’s easy in India to sell your product once you do good targeted marketing. Because I asked what is the reason they bought the product do they have any studies that prove that marketing is right ? No one has an answer.

I have used their toothpaste, soap and face wash( no judging...skin gets painfully dry here in winter :giggle: )

last time I visited india, I brought back some products...got it directly from a distributor but still wow awesome products for that price.

I also tried this sri Sri Ravi Shankar liver tablet which is probably the most repulsive thing I ever ate. May be good for health :dontknow:

However some of Ramdev’s amla candy etc are pretty tasty and apparently healthy.

I'm not a big fan of ramdev baba. Sure he's amazingly fit but he's commercialising yoga/ayurveda, I mean there's nothing morally wrong but yoga/ayurveda are meant for spiritual realisation and are not commercial products to be sold.

I have a problem with him continuing to be called ' baba'.

He is Seth Ramdev and should be called that.

I have a problem with him misrepresenting himself with the people. As for his business empire... ,No harm in giving the multi nationals a run for their money.

Competition is good.

Producing household goods doesn't require some NASA level rocket science.  Most of these products have basic formulations that any company can make without too much trouble.  The challenge is in market penetration, and logistical management.  Which these guys have accomplished.   Whether you care for their swadeshi shtick or not, even if purely as a case study of corporate success, they deserve a hat-tip.

babaji+business=a lethal combo. in fact, you can call organized religion the biggest business of the world. (Refer to Oh my god film) Although,  hats off to ramdev for tackling MNCs and marketing his company all the way to the top.

with a growing indian population, more purchasing power for the masses, and indian people's unflinching reverence for godmen, babaji ka dhanda will grow exponentially in the years to come.

He has used Ayurveda as a selling point and a product with no chemicals as his business ..he is a renowned Yoga Guru with a lot of followers...it is not like he is spewing crap and manipulating scriptures to gullible people...he is actually promoting a healthy lifestyle and also helping in market a cheap and affordable product...that makes him a baba in my book.
