Dhoni left Test cricket at age 33 because he knew that Indian test team should start rebuilding for future and the captain gets a good cushion of playing easier series. If a captain/coach/mgmt picks DK and Parthiv for Tests as well as LOIs, its pretty obvious what they are wishing to do. Pant has potential which will be proven only when he can win the job from DK or Parthiv and Kohli does not even trust him for backup. kira and Laaloo 2 Link to comment

Pant should be playing ahead of Dhawan , irrespective of dhoni is in the team or not . The wk role in T20s is least of any captains concen , even a part time keeper like KL can do it .
