Both are equally good...Nagarkoti is an incredible athlete though,not that Mavi is any less.

Bowling=equal

Batting=Mavi

Fieldind=Nagarkoti

Dude, Nagarkoti is an allrounder. Dont judge his batting based on this match.

Nagarkoti all rounder? lol Didn't look like one. Mavi looked a better bat.

has contributed with the bat time to time. in recent u19 challengers, he came to bat at 7 and scored 51 in one of the games when the team had lost half the side below 150.  They both have the batting ability and should improve as they go forward.

I would like to see how they both do in Vijay Hazare trophy on Pattas. It will be an interesting Vijay Hazare trophy in a long time. Probably the most interesting in years.

Nagarkoti has already taken a hat-trick in Vijay Hazare against Gujarat which helped Rajasthan win the match.

Theres absolutely no reason to have any inclination. We have 2 gems in our hands, we need to use them together. Also, with so much talent around, we need to make a pool so that we are never short on our away tours, even if our strike bowlers are out due to injury or form.

What a turnaround we have had. The win in the 3rd test is phenomenal in the sense it has sent a message in the cricketing world. Now, countries will think twice before doctoring pitches. If they make it dangerous, it might boomerang on them. If they make it batting friendly, even then India can score.. and spin has always been our strength.

yes ,capetown they tried a seaming track and nearly got into a lot of trouble and at wanderers the ball was spitting too much for their liking,i wonder if the pitch would have been criticized if we had a bowling attack like in 96 srinath backed by ganesh and prasad.

didnt looked like a batsman more of a slogger like bhajji
mavi handled shaheen well...one boundary of a wide yorker and another hooked to a bouncer.

Mavi is a better bat and a slightly better bowler than Nagarkoti atm. But obviously Nagarkoti has more pace so tremendous potential. So, both are superb tbh.

Seeing the few balls that nagarkotti played I thought he is more of a dependable batsman like bhuvi and not a hitter? But if you can bowl 145 you have strong shoulders and can be a good hitter with some practise.

Obviously it is impossible to compare as they are different bowlers and both are doing equally well. Mavi seems to be more hit the deck bowler who will do well in bouncy conditions while Nagarkoti seems to have more swing and skiddy bowler like Steyn.

I think Nagarkoti has tremendous potential, in the first game vs Australia, he was fantastic. In subsequent games, seems like he still getting to know and understand his game, experimenting etc. Mavi on the other hand seems to be very aware of his strong points and keeps it simple and sticks to that- hence why he may appear more potent in recent games. I believe ultimately however, when Nagarkoti find his strengths, he will be the superior bowler.

The difference is Nagarkoti lacks control with new ball at this point. Mavi has been good with both new and old.

agree- but this is because he is not willing to compromise on pace and hostility. His intention is to intimidate. Once he finds the control, whilst maintaining his pace he could become Lethal

neither was at their best today. felt that porel did better in the final.

True, good potential, but let Nagarkoti and Mavi play a lot of A-tours and domestics during the next 12-18 months. And Ishan Porel too.

yes, they do have potential. I was just pointing out that mavi/nagar had an off-day. actually, even when koti had a relatively bad day, he bowled some nice off-cutters and some pacy deliveries (like that yorker which got him a wkt).
