Yes. Those good old days when the sheer sight of this prodigy with “power” bat taking on the opposition would be enough. When we knew that the match effectively ends if this insane talent gets out. 

 

We have another other worldly master today. I fear the equation is similar as far as opposition is concerned. Get him out and match is through. The lack of reliability of our so called batting strength is worrying.

Gambhir, Yuvi, and Raina may not have the most eye catching stats but I remember when they were in form and well set they almost always got India past the finish line. None of the middle order batsman in the current line up give me that same type of belief apart from kohli.

Karthik is there as injury insurance if Dhoni gets hurt.  In theory, you'd have a replacement player who's been with the squad and with batting exposure and experience at the int'l level.   

 

Neither should be in the T20 squad, forget the starting XI.   Same goes for Rahane.

Rubbish comparison. Middle order is always tough place to bat in our style of play. No point of all this wristslitting. There is always room for improvement, but people need to have some patience. 

We have very good team, especially with this bowling, this is no way one man show. You cannot win every single game.
