Manish Pandey was being honest. He provided a nice insight on the challenges associated with being a fringe player in this side. Few opportunities to work with and the pressure to do enough to make them count.

Yaar, overall performance is primary consideration. This guy can’t even become a star at IPL level (whereas Raina is IPL boss), what chance is he likely to stand at international level? His horrible technique is just one of the reasons he’ll flop at international level. When he goes for a shot, he makes such a profound backlift as if he about to launch a rocket into orbit.

Our top 3 right now are more consistent than any other previous top three that we had. The biggest reason it becomes difficult to establish in this line up for anyone batting below #4.

Yes……he is right, he can be the ideal No. 4 for India. Wish Manish Pandey was in CSK, he would have then applied the CSK quota and become a mainstay in this team through his great batting abilities.
