Being an all rounder in India is tough

Recommended Posts

Everyday I see the sports section online I see statement from Kapil dev, roger bunny or someone suggesting or criticizing Pandya. It is very tough for a all rounder to develop in such an environment. How can an someone grow in this tough environment.

Let's not confuse all rounders with bits and pieces cricketers. As an all rounder, you pretty much have to be good enough to be in the team because of either batting or bowling alone. We'll see if Pandya gets to that point. Not easy at all.

To be as good as a good bowler and to be as good as a good batsman is impossible. If you cannot be counted for runs and cannot be dependent wkt takr really what are you doing in the team. I hope he is successful

Life is tough...for most.

He couldn't have got a place in the team either as a pure bowler or a pure batsman .

He is in the team because he showed potential in both . Now he has to live upto that potential.

Exactly , life is tough for most folks - whether cricketers or otherwise.

Nothing specifically tough for Pandya.
