Biggest Election Victory - Tripura

How does a party go from zero seats and losing 49 out of 50 deposits to winning 40 out of 60 seats ? This is just remarkable. I had the opportunity to visit Tripura and place seemed stuck  in a time warp. They were still reading pamphlets of communist manifesto while there were no roads, no connectivity, no jobs, no electricity. Like WB, it seemed like a state almost celebrating its poverty.

Don't understand how a State can shift so drastically in three years. Has to be strategist Amit Shah and Himanto Sharma Biswas.

It is a small state but the victory has to be considered strategic masterclass.

Decades of built up frustration among the voters finally getting an outlay. At a personal level, Manik Sarkar has the reputation of being austere, but his party cadre are goondas and the lack of development under the commies has come back to bite them.

With NDA at the centre and the likes of Shah and Biswa Sarma managing the elections in the North East, they can finally dump the left.

Something is gong on... CBI arrested Captain’s Son In Law in a scam and Modi praising Captain... Congress not supporting Captain in case of his Son In Law, might further drive a wedge between Captain and Gandhi’s...

However Captain’s innings in politics is in its last leg... too late for BJP..,

This is really unexpected and  very impressive.

This will take the wind out of the recently resurgent (:p: in the media) pappu.

pappu has nothing to do with gujarat resurgence, people have voted against the policies of the bjp at center.people desperately need somedody to vote in 2019 but the 3rd front is their only alternative.

no doubt shah and co's strategy is very good, but there were several other factors that played a major role (e.g. anti-incumbency)
