Watching Aus in SA and wondering

Recommended Posts

What could have been. This really is a shadow of the great SA teams. Without Steyn they cant muster the intensity to win against big teams. But we somehow found a way to lose to this side. I wont be surprised if Aus win 4-0 to avenge their home defeat. It will be demolition job for sure. And with that Aussie batting line up which relies on only two players basically.

Irrelevant.

Nothing surprising. Aus have not lost there since the 80’s.

and you should have checked the history too. SA have never won against Aus at home since their return.

This is weak Australian batting Line up. The teams that won in the past were strong teams. Past records doesn’t mean much when you enter into a new series with a new team. Only Smith, Warner, Cummins abd maybe Lyon have toured Aus

Not ti mention. That this Aus team inspire of playing in similar conditions felt the need to prepare for 10 days before the series. That says something about us.

but it is all about conditions and these conditions are not too different for Australia than what they get at home. Pace and bounce without much lateral movement is their bread and butter. This is where SA are wrong that they gave them a flattish pitch. This is no where the pitches we got in Capetown and at Wanderers.

Perhaps I spoke too soon. This could get closer. Magically, the pitch has flattened again.

Waiting for the experts to come out in the open and admit. They were cursing Indian bowlers for bowling bad. Now what do they have to say? :)

For all you know, the wickets will be taken eventually. But for a major part of the inning now, the Aussie fast bowlers are looking like toothless tigers!

They managed to beat #1 ranked test team with a quota

Quota is slow poison , if more and more whites give up Cricket they will hardly find good players.

If you know only 20% of SA school have cricket and most of them dominated by whites .So how can you expect 80% to fill the boots who neither have interest nor have facilities

Another point. Good Aussie teams defeated good SA teams. Not so good Aussie team also defeating not so good SA team. This Aussie bowling is still one of the best they ever had.

My point is not about quotas which should never be in place but #1 test team can't beat a team that has to pick quotas

Only thing you are forgetting is Indian bowlers bowled on more favorable pitches.
