narenpande1
http://www.firstpost.com/sports/shoaib-akhtar-reveals-match-fixing-was-at-its-peak-in-1996-says-he-was-never-involved-3056908.html Old article but match fixing allegations are of timeless relevance as far as Pakistan is concerned. Akhtar says the atmosphere in Pak dressing room in 1996 was the worst possible atmosphere because of the prevalent match fixing. To this add the fact that Mianded claims that Afridi has thrown matches ( dont think these are loose allegations) I wonder if all senior Pak players then ( Akram, Saleem Malik, Moin Khan ...etc) threw matches...?? Even a then thuggish guy like Akhtar seem petrified by how Pak was being sold. its obvious that he will not name the senior players as they would collective make life hell for him.. But such revelations must not go without absolute scrutiny. Pak govt and generals have given their land for money to China ( the 5000 sq km shaksgham valley), they can surely be complicit in losing cricket games... Straight Drive
The Qayyum Report named a lot of players, but the end result was many being let off. sandeep 1 Link to comment

prinzo
The way Pakistan has been portrayed in match fixing is like they would have won every single match if they didn't throw all the matches. They would be the unbeatables. Lol Link to comment
