Let's see what happens. Quote AUSTRALIA’s ball-tampering scandal looks set to claim its first scalp, with coach Darren Lehmann reportedly set to resign before the fourth Test. Lehmann has not spoken in the wake of the saga which has rocked Australian cricket and captain Steve Smith claims had no knowledge of the plans to alter the condition of the match ball during the third Test in Cape Town. But the UK’s Telegraph claims he will sensationally quit his post in the next 24 hours with immediate effect. “Lehmann, as coach, is accountable for the culture within the team and has presided over a side happy to agree to pre-meditated cheating,” the report read. Khota
He should have been the first one to go. If he knew it he should have been kicked out and if he did not know it then it is a bigger fault. The man needs to go. Edited March 28, 2018 by Khota Turning_track 1 Link to comment

Hypothetical as the discussion is, I would say knowing and not acting is the bigger fault. Being complicit or even being cognizant of such activity can land you in serious trouble vis a vis general incompetence; legally speaking. Link to comment

Lannister
After reading his side of the story, I believe he didn't have a clue of what they were going to do. Lehmann didn't start this culture, it was there even before he joined them. Link to comment
Tattieboy
I would think a few on here who think cheating should be compulsory will be applying for the job Link to comment

He is the coach and he should know what is going on. But you are correct too that if he knew and did not act that is bad also. Long story short he was responsible one way or another. Link to comment
Cricketics
Smith is a bigger name in Australian cricket than Darren Lehman. If CA can ban Smith and Warner then they can surely ban Lehman. They surely did not find any proof to ban Lehman and hence he is still there. The moment they do, he will be fired too. Anyways he was about to retire as a coach if you guys had followed past stories. After all this he might resign, but we can’t say that Lehman, by default, also knew about the plan. People like Warner can plan such things in the middle of a session and that very well could have happened that after session break they decided to comeback with that yellow shyt. Its not good to blame someone without any proof. Link to comment
coffee_rules
Even if he is not involved, what sort of a coach is he where he gets undermined like this? He better quit . Link to comment

It is very likely he will quit after that game. coffee_rules 1 Link to comment

It could be true, who knows, but I won’t however blame anyone until proven guilty. Also saying “everyone would have known” is not right. Let facts come out before we start to judge people. This thing will never come out. CA would never let it happen. and it is not an assumption, it is just common sense. Why do you think Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins wont know about what is happening with the ball. Link to comment

That time they did not feel like crying when they used to pass racist comments to cricketers. Now doing all this Nautanki. Tears are meaningless after you have called others dogs, blacks, b****y Indian etc repeatedly and also being involved in cheating numerous times. Stop this drama of being a normal human being. If some well behaved cricketer had cried it would have gathered more sympathy. Edited March 29, 2018 by Straight Drive nevada 1 Link to comment
Tattieboy
No sympathy....., there only is an Australian nation because they were cheaters who weren't very good at it and got caught They should also be used to long sentences it's inbred to them Link to comment
